Both campaigns signed a legal commitment to the debate at ABC. He wants to back out and run to a place they will let him turn it into a Trump rally. It's a ploy.

I honestly don't know why they can't do it on a neutral platform, or CREATE a neutral platform even for debates. Absolutely crazy a news media organization with its own agenda should be given control over how a presidential debate happens/is broadcast. If I had my way they would be separated, given a set time to speak, their mic is cut after that set time and there's instant fact checking. There's something deeply wrong with us as a society when those recommendations are controversial.

ABC is as "neutral" an organization as you're going to get. If Trump comes off badly when he talks to ABC, it's probably because he's a ****ing career criminal, eh?

A month ago I still would have confidently believed that she will easily take him down. I don’t think she has changed per se, but since Biden stepped down, she and her team are doing all the right things to win the election. But, that aside, I don’t think Trump could ever beat her in a debate. He’s in the brain of a helpless child and she a is grown adult.

We used to have this. It was called the Commission on Presidential Debates.

 

And guess what? The RNC pulled out of it to protect Trump.

"In January 2022, the Republican National Committee (RNC) warned the CPD that it planned to amend the Rules of the Republican Party to prohibit Republican presidential nominees from attending CPD-sponsored debates.[7] The RNC unanimously passed the amendment to quit to CPD in April 2022."

 

Now it fell back to individual deals with Broadcast Networks.

I dont think being an adult wins you a debate. Trump wins most of his debates and he acts like a child in all the them. Being uptight, out of touch, and cringe around Trump will make you lose a Trump debate, and thats what she was in the past. She was like Hilary Clinton, but something changed recently.
