Controversiaga 9,242 Posted March 2 Share Posted March 2 Here’s some unpopular opinions The album was pretty great and solid at its release but some songs have not aged well and feel cheesy- Americano, hair, bad kids, highway unicorn, the queen, Marry the night, judas, edge of glory are overrated all the songs chosen for singles were the best choices except Judas and marry the night. I don’t think many other songs could’ve worked as singles at the time as nothing else was safe for radio like you and I and edge of glory were. Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . TEANUS 12,385 Posted March 2 Share Posted March 2 (edited) - Not giving Yoü and I a proper single release, at least in the US, like they almost did would’ve been a bigger miss than releasing Judas as a single. - Marry The Night would’ve never been as big as Born This Way, The Edge of Glory, and Yoü and I, even if it had been released earlier. - Not sure how unpopular this is, maybe the double single part, but: Scheiße should’ve been a single. Yoü and I was great for the US and fine for UK, Australia, and Canada, but awful for the rest of the world. The rest of the world wanted clubby Euro dance-pop. With Yoü and I running on US radios and Scheiße running concurrently in the rest of the world she would’ve had two smash singles at the same time and I stand on thaT - The tour should’ve opened with Marry The Night or Born This Way.
