What is your opinion about Madame X?

It’s pretty phenomenal for a pop record. Some songs are some of her all-time best, and the theme/storyline is very inspired.

Great songs, great messages. Very creative album that needed time to grow on me. Too much use of Autotune at times.

It's the auto tune for me 

In all seriousness though, as a long-time Madonna fan I enjoyed a lot of the songs after repeated listens, however, the auto tune I find distracting and I miss Madonna's unfiltered voice. I've said this in other threads, but when she used voice effects before, they complimented her voice, which I feel Madame X's use distracts/minimizes the artistic quality. To me it sounds like AI generated Madonna songs. 

Once you get passed that though, there's some really impressive stuff on that album. Even though I don't understand some of what is being said, the music and production is just so lovely.

i rise, batuka, crave, and dark ballet are highlights for me. for sure, she was feeling free, and present. Idk.

It was a step in the right direction, it has its chunk of commercial songs, which M obviously still wanted to stay in the mainstream with Reggaeton & trap and what marked a progression since HC for me, the more different sounding songs and social struggle and introspective lyrics

I agree the social struggles she sings about don’t look authentic since she’s a millionaire that doesn’t seem to want to change the economic system that we have but her merit on talking about it is still earned

I understand what Madonna was trying to go for but Madame X takes itself way too seriously and the effects on her voice are so obnoxiously over the top.

Crazy was always the song of the album. By far the best and catchies tune on there. The streaming numbers shows this too. How did she have this in her collection and then not make it the lead single is confusing to me. It's not like Medellin was some meaningful deep song. If she wanted to make a statement she should have launched the era with God Control. But Crazy was her chance for a comeback hit and she wasted it and I am not sure why.

God Control is hands down one of the best songs ever made. I don’t revisit madame x at all but that song is in constant rotation.

An underrated album that was far more adventurous and risk taking than I thought modern Madonna capable of. Maybe wasn’t to everyone’s taste, but it was the first time in a long time someone of her stature had been that ambitious with a record.

Madonna is my favorite artist but I have mixed feelings about the album.
I like every single song on the album, however, as a whole body of work, I don't appreciate it.

This mix of woke songs and meaningless songs, commercial and experimental songs, of sounds from different cultures is a bit messy imo, making it hard for me to enjoy the album as a whole body of work.

I wish she sticked to either only woke experimental songs inspired by different cultures or only meaningless commercial songs, the mix of both is bugging me
