She worked with the WHO and Pfizer heavily during Covid. This is probably something that stemmed from that (she used the medication and it’s helped her, Pfizer asked if she’d endorse it, she said yes). Beyond being annoying cause it’s an ad and not anything music related, I’m confused why people are so up in arms. Like, people are acting like she just posted she loves Trump or she doesn’t side with trans people.

I get everyone is thirsty for content and are disappointed it’s not coming, but let’s breathe and look at it as what it is: an ad like so many other celebrities do. It just stands out because she doesn’t post much right now other than for business purposes. But she also runs a business, so 

When she’s ready for another album cycle, she’ll be back. Right now she’s just dipping out in between projects. Relaxxxx

It's literally an advertisement for migraine medication, it's so ****ing random and doesn't fit her brand at all. Pfizer is controversial and they've sponsored this post, it's unreal to think that she'd post something like this for a quick cash grab? 

It also stands out due to the fact that whenever she does post the majority of the time it’s an ad or collab with a brand to make money. I think we're all just a bit over the cash grabs.

But that’s not even the issue — the issue is Pfizer is instrumental in buying out politicians that have made access to healthcare, and affordable medication nearly impossible for millions. Especially black and brown Americans. Let alone the fact that Pfizer donates millions to the same politicians actively writing laws targeting the safety of the LGBT+ community.

Remove Gaga and Pharma for a second, and what you have is a very rich, and powerful person projecting medications on their platform for a company that actively works against the people she has used her career to support.  
 

 

Also lbr it’s very weird for your ad about meds to include “ever since I was a little girl Ive had migraines.” Like cmon. That is *literally targeting children with pharmaceuticals. It might sound nit picky to some but with stuff like this you have to be nitpicky! If ever there were a time to nail the press release, talking about meds is the time!

There is a reason why advertising pharmaceuticals is illegal in nearly every wealthy country except the US.

Yeah I was making the point last night that she, someone who built a career on the backs of the Queer community can’t seem to use her voice when there are hundreds of Transphobic bills being passed in the US, but is still fine plugging her financial interests, and was getting hate on here from people calling me a fake fan.

Like I love Gaga and always will, but calling a spade a spade isn’t a bad thing

She talks about her chronic pain, mental health, and health in general quite often; I feel like it's not that outlandish that she would discuss migraines. And I do agree, there are a number of ads and collabs, but I don't think that much compared to other celebrities. Again, hers just stands out because she isn't currently posting other things.

Not saying it's not annoying; what I am saying, is the overreaction is insane. People can feel disappointed or annoyed without completely going off the wall and attacking, degrading her character, and saying she has no integrity. It's just such an insane leap.

Some people only care about social media activism, while ignoring real activism like the BTW foundation, which is 100x more more effective. Gaga is allowed to change the form of activism she chooses to participate in based on her mental health. Criticising Gaga is fine (I have ALOT of criticism), but to call her a sellout to the Gay community is insane.

Was it poor timing? Yes. Has she turned her back on the queer community? Absolutely not. Come ON.

She has and always will speak out for the LGBTQ community, and has as recently as TCB. We also see queer representation in HL marketing, and you can't say the same for other beauty brands.

I understand not being into the business woman, Avon lady side of LG.....but do come for her dedication for the queer community is just......bizzare.
