I might be wrong about this, but doesn't every social media plattform forbid impersonating in their terms of service? That rule might have been in there since Twitter got launched. Just not enforced. Facebook/Meta for example doesn't allow that, because if you want to use it, you (as in their ToS) have to follow these rules: - Provide for your account the same name that you use in everyday life. - Provide accurate information about yourself. - Create only one account (your own) and use it for personal purposes. on top of that - you are not allowed to use facebook if one of the following apply: - You are under 13 years old. - You are a convicted sex offender. - We've previously suspended or terminated your account And yet, most people probably use wrong information on their profiles and fake names Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
