For a regular match game there should be a couple of purchasing windows months before the World Cup where you’ll have the option of purchasing tickets for a random game or purchasing tickets to follow a specific team. Visa appointment wait times for the US are among the longest in the world. They might take this into consideration and start the process earlier than usual to accommodate foreign tourists.
