I know Melanie always talks about how she hates people leaking her stuff and I do want to respect that. However, call me delusional... but I think Melanie leaked Dragons' Blood and Tunnel Vision herself to hype the album (and single that's supposed to come this month). Artists do this all the time. And  I only say that because she posted videos of her bopping to these two songs on her Instagram story and gave us the titles. Also they haven't been copywrite stricken, yet Mother of Pearl and another one are getting taken down with copywrite claims. And if she wanted to share snippets she wouldn't technically be allowed because it would be a breach of her contract with her label. Or if she didn't actually leak them, then maybe she's not actually that pissed about them being out there. They're really good songs and she worked so hard on them and even gave us the titles  

Idk, this could all be totally false but it's my theory. And yes I know about her write up about how it hurts because she wants to be able to experiment and grow without people hearing the in between stages. Idk I'm conflicted too. But I love these songs so much I can't stop listening now

don't jinx it! i'm still hoping for tunnel vision to be on mm3 ever since that tease from the artist who worked on k-12's snippet animation 

wait, when did melanie give us the titles? as far as I'm concerned the video she shared of her singing/dancing to the songs was silent as to not spoil anything, i think the only video that had sound was the accidental leak from one of the album's producers but the insta story was almost immediately removed 

I'm not so sure melanie doesn't seem like the type of artist to leak their own music unless i missed something, as far as i remember she's always disliked it when things leaked and has consistently spoke out against leaks on social media and in interviews for years

I'm still hoping they're all on the album too! Although she did say in an interview recently that none of the songs we've heard so far are on the album. A lot of people take that to mean she cut them when they got leaked out of spite, but I think that's ridiculous considering she's planned the whole movie around the album, and would have had to turn in the final tracklist so long ago to her label for approval. I think she just meant those songs were all outtakes.

Also you are so right about her speaking about not liking leaks. I rewatched a recent interview where she said she hates it. But interestingly enough she also said it's because she wants to feel comfortable being able to experiment with different sounds, without worrying that people will hear her experimental stuff. So that leads me to believe that these leaks were from an in-between stage when she was experimenting, before finalising the album. It's not unusual for an artist to make like 50 demos between albums and only keep the 15-ish they put on the album. So  because of all that I don't think these songs are coming out  

Also I was wrong, the two she teased on her story were Faerie Soiree and Tunnel Vision. Faerie Soiree and Mother of Pearl are being copywrite stricken on YouTube, but Tunnel Vision, Dragons Blood, etc aren't which might indicate which ones are/aren't on the album. But only time will tell! 

She said she wanted to release the first single this March/April so there could be one on the way soon!!

I hope so as well, I've done everything in my power to avoid any leaks but accidentally heard a snippet of tunnel vision in a fan video and was hooked not knowing it was an unreleased track from mm3 

Yeah I think the earliest interview I recall was one in 2015 when asked about unreleased music and specifically where do babies come from? and she said she doesn't like leaks and she would consider releasing unreleased music in the future but that it was unlikely since she tends to reiterate "it's unreleased for a reason because I didn't want you to hear it" in different ways often. Our only hope would be a drama club situation where it made the album despite being leaked 3 years prior to it's official release which is why fans speculate the middle finger in the drama club snippet animation was melanie subtly shading those who leaked it 

Yes! I recall that video tease as well, she looked like she was having so much fun  I think it's important to remember that a lot of unreleased songs get hit by copyright claims a lot even if they never get released so it's really up in the air, songs like 99 cent store, you love i & blue knees are constantly copyright striked and never have been released so I have hope, don't forget mel said that a deluxe version of mm3 is confirmed! 

I'm hyped about the single I just wish that mel would tease dates or something I mean I know she said that the single would be accompanied by a music video but from a fan's point of view being told march/april specifically and it now being the middle of april makes you a little doubtful
