I have all of her music locally anyway so I'd just import them into Spotify and continue to not being bothered :huntyga: .

Spoiler

Also, bc of all the unreleased songs my local catalog of her is bigger than her streaming one anyway :partysick:

No. Not today. Especially when she has an Oscar and a Grammy campaign going on.

She would appear more as "fake woke" considering the backlash she's got from the patriarchy and capitalism remark. They also did her so dirty during the 'A Star Is Born' campaign when the focus on the  ̶r̶ ̶k̶e̶l̶l̶y̶  documentary was solely on her in the sea of artists who worked with that rat

It would just be financial loss for Gaga/her team/label etc + some backlash (and some praise, but not nearly enough to outweigh the cons)

I still can't figure out how to do this :saladga:

I must have over a hundred MJ and Gaga songs I want on Spotify and they download just fine both from PC and mobile but then they're greyed out on the mobile app :saladga:

No, for both business and my own selfish reasoning. I've had my Spotify playlists since my freshman year of college in 2012. I can't imagine having to put together all of those lists again. It's one of the three biggest platforms for streams, not to mention I think her visuals for Chromatica are Spotify-exclusive, so I'm not sure if there's some level of contract there.

If any artist has music streaming, they're a part of a platform that hosts a bunch of a-holes. I understand Spotify forked over millions for Joe Rogan, but all of these platforms host musicians and podcasters who have spread misinformation and very problematic stances. (Look at the BS Eric Clapton was gabbing on and on about last year - AND he was streaming his anti-lockdown and anti-vax song...)

And no artist can fully tap out of streaming if they still intend on their music performing well. These artists are damned if they do and damned if they don't at this point. I definitely don't agree with Rogan being able to cash such a big check from Spotify, but Spotify put disclosures on his content and have removed a handful of episodes. I hope they don't renew a contract with him, but I don't hold it against artists for not pulling their catalogue.

Could she even if she wanted to? At first I assumed there would be no way Interscope would allow her to with her being so lucrative an artist but the removal of "Do What U Want" says otherwise. Coupled with Taylor having to re-record her discography because she didn't own the masters but was still able to decline from initially releasing her albums onto streaming services, I'm not certain where the artist's digression and opinion lies? Wouldn't putting a song or album on Spotify be like licensing for a show except with residual revenue being granted for streams overall or is it moreso like a market example where the company (Spotify) sells the product (songs) with producer/Copyright holder's permission (Interscope/Gaga?) and the revenue generated is shared between the two parties (company and producer)?

She doesn't follow trends. This is only happening because woke twitter got ahold of it.

I understand what Joe did was WRONG but like, just don't listen to his ignorant ****?

Who is spotify to say what right and wrong (obviously we know joe's POV is trash) but seriously, spotify isnt required to police what people post.

there are bigger problems in the world.

Want spotify to delete any podcast with anything offensive in it? lol or music that used poor language and cuss words?

there are bigger problems in the world.

I love the term "fake woke". It's a perfect description for all those people on Twitter who have nothing to do but cancel people to score some woke points.

it fits often, a lot of people don't cancel people because they want justice but rather to knock people off their high horse for supporting them
