Music career wise absolutely not. Madonna was huuuge. She had hit after hit after hit. Sometimes she would have 3-4 hits playing on the radio simultaneously. She also was way more controversial and provocative. Gaga achieved a similar level as far as her music career is concerned with fame/fame monster/ the start of Btw and Shallow. But she’s not had even 20% of the hits as Madonna did in her first few years. Having said that Gaga is far more talented, respected, a better performer and a huge movie star that Madonna never was. Also actors can continue to have huge careers into their 70s and 80s so she doesn’t have to hit the roadblock of aging that all pop stars face.

Gaga is an okay actress, she's better than most singers who get into acting. Acting is not easy and she's been doing great with the few roles she was given, but she's not great, and that's normal, she just got into this. I think there's a potential for greatness in this new venture for her. I love her as Patrizia but I don't think it was Oscar worthy but in my opinion she's more Oscar worthy than Kristen Stewart as Diana for example, and Kristen has been in this art form since a kid, so it says a lot to me about Gaga and the talent she has

The self importance, getting a few replies on a public forum is not equivalent to being “crucified”  youre objectively mistaken anyway. Her few detractors were unable to provide any solid argument as to why her performance was mediocre or even bad
