This guy probably had acesso to the cover and a few songs and now is playing insider. He said Charli had no new verses on 911 before the snippet was posted by her producer :ohwell: You girls need to pay attention.

This. Unless the Bowie sample was true, I don’t think BP would literally say HL is the same as the snippet to a fan tbh

Who produced the original was it BoyzNoise? If so Bloodpop may have reworked the original to not credit BoyzNoiz. They also didnt want to initially credit him for his contributions on Rain on Me until he spoke out about it and then got some writing credits I believe. Something weird is going on between those two.

The credits for it on the Haus Labs ad list Boys Noize. The 3 samples used in the Haus Labs version come from a sample pack made by one of Boys Noizes collaborators. So it is safe to say he had some level of contribution to it.

thank you! yeah it makes sense now. seems they want to rework him out of the track which is fine I guess. Producers do that all the time. It just feels weird though especially when you consider he was discredited out of Rain on Me until he publically spoke out. I feel like he and Bloodpop have some sort of issue going on behind the scenes. Oh well!

I think Blood may just be a bit controlling of his production in general. Tchami, Boys Noize and Sophie all were involved and then we got little or nothing from them on the album - at least in terms of credits.

It's so obvious this is the case, I really don't get why everyone is believing this person knows the innermost details of Gaga's mind:billie: they saw an opportunity for some attention and are NOT letting go

So I should expect the Haus Labs beat with the same vocals as the album version

a bit disappointing but im sure people will be able to create new interesting fan made remixes with it…

The Bowie part of the Snippet wasn’t part of the song, it was a DJ on the set who was playing multiple songs and mixed it with Babylon. That’s why it’s not included. Anyone who thought that Bowie’s estate would allow Gaga to sample him, I have to laugh.

Boys Noize wrote the best songs on Chromatica:

Free Woman (demo)

Rain on Me (demo)

Babylon (demo)

Bloodpop asked Gaga if he could produce them and make it more fresh, saying it wasn't sounding like her at all. And released all those songs reworked to the garbage that it is today. So yeah, it's pretty much BPs fault. Go thank him.

It's okay to dislike him :laughga: you don't have to be such a negative person just because you don't like the final product.

1) Yes it was part of the song. It was removed by the time the Haus Labs version existed. It was an earlier demo and the snippet we have are not from a DJ they are from her playing the demo during her V Magazine photoshoot in August of 2018. The version we know as Haus Labs from from Sept 2019 latest - a full year later.

2) The point is moot because it isn't even a sample. Everyone keeps calling it a sample, but it just shares similarities in its style to David Bowie. There would be no "sample" for his estate to clear because it was never a sample in the first place. It's as much of a sample as the 909 pattern on the album version is a sample of "Vogue" or the piano is a sample of "Finally".
