Remixes are divisive, and that's okay.

Before we get to listen to the Remix album this Friday (speculated), I wanted to make this point before it leads to infighting and "taste" shaming.

Remixes, especially Gaga remixes, are notoriously divisive. If someone says something bad about a remix of a Gaga song, it's not a commentary on the original material. Don't get your tail feathers caught in a rut because someone hates your favorite remix off of the album, and conversely don't shame others that like one that you think is hot garbage.

The reality is that any departure from source material is going to be something different to everyone, so please be kind. We can all jam out at our own pace in our own space, no need to turn this release into a "next single" fight or a reason to flame a remix artist that took leaps and risks that didn't pay off with their final mixes.

Anyway, please keep an open mind and open ears. I personally can't wait. :saira:

I prefer the original versions. When I want to listen to a song, I want to listen to the "real" song. However, I'm not mad at remixes. I very rarely listen to them and to me they're more like bonus material. So I'm not even sure if I'm going to listen to the remix album, but if I do and don't like the songs I won't care. It's what Gaga wanted to do, it's her right to do.

I usually don’t listen to remixes and don’t like them. I’ll probably buy the album just for my collection of Gaga albums and never listen to it.

Yes! I also want to add specifically to this: unconsciously the original songs are your baseline. We’ve had a year+ to know these songs every which way, so naturally deviations from the originals (especially as they are being remixed by artists that are very different than Gaga) might not be your cup of tea at first. Give them a chance though! Reinventing a song sometimes helps you appreciate the original in a new light.

Been a cuff touple, a puff bupple, a tough couple of years.

GGD is known for having a so so relationship with remixes, so I'm not expecting so much love, but they can still surprise.

The problem is their expectation is a "features remix" album, but this is a club remixes album with some features.

thank you! and guys this isn't going to be like any of Gaga's other remix albums and probably not like any other remix album you've heard before from any mainstream artists, so keep an open mind and ear🤍

The original will always be there that’s why I want the remix to be as wild as possible just to let us have a glimpse of Gaga’s more experimental side
