I’m not so bothered about needing transparency from her, maybe some artists are like that but many huge artists keep things quiet until it’s necessary (ie Beyoncé, Adele etc). 

I think she kinda vaguely acknowledged it because everyone kept talking about it, but she never really teased anything IMO. She never gave any hint of what it would sound like or look like. Whereas before ARTPOP she was like "it will be the album of the MILLENNIUM" and hyped it up to be some crazy techno experiment lol

Beyoncé keeps things a secret but I think she releases stuff often enough that her fans are never really starving

Adele is quiet because, well, after 6 years, there is nothing to tease it seems

My only criticism is she’s become too palatable in the last several years and has been catering the general public instead of the fans. We want to see that twisted, dark imagery, the avant- grade fashion, the bleached brows, etc.

I think ARTPOP days she was outright leaking her own info pretty much, but I think any ‘in the studio with Bloodpop/redone #LG6 #LG5” or whatever is still hinting at and titillating fans. Sure it gets us pumped and ready for the next era, but when it’s like 2 years before the release it allows the space for expectations to rise and rise. Inevitably it doesn’t meet the expectations fans have (because we’re delusional like that) which I think affects the way those albums are first received and appreciated.

I don't think I said anything mean? She's said before how she's scared to "elevate herself to the point where she's Lady Gaga again". And pretty much all her collaborators recently (Eli, Bloodpop, Tarsem) have clearly said she basically just goes along with everything and doesn't say no now. It's a fact that all her immediate team are her best friends, and come on, who's going to tell their best friend that their makeup or outfit styling aren't good enough?

And I don't see how you can disagree with me about how people shouldn't expect the best from her. There are millions of artists out there who would kill to be in her position with her resources. She has essentially no obstacles in terms of what she can create.

 

And lastly - she chose to be, and has worked tirelessly for a decade to remain, a celebrity. She could have quit after ARTPOP but she continues to attend the Grammys and Oscars, perform at the Superbowl, work with Ariana Grande and Blackpink, make movies with Bradley Cooper and Ridley Scott. It's way harder to maintain fame than it us to lose it. If she felt the pressures of being a celebrity were not worth it she would have given up long ago.

Is it flamebait if I say lately Ive realized chromatica is one of the poorest quality album shes put out recently when it first came out i just loved it but i just cant listen to any songs anymore, i find them repetitive, boring and not interesting enough. pretty disappointed.

and very unpopular opinion but to me the true gem is rain on me on the album its the best song that will belistened to many years from now

I've read that she doesn't do many collaborations and her lyrics arent personal. Chromatica fixed both of those.

Another is that she has yet to make a great too the bottom album.

A big criticism is her not going full out for any of her projects since BTW. Joanne, asib and chromatica had so much more potential but she let them fall flat. She seems like she’s scared to go all out or purposely holds herself back because she wants to be humble or whatever. 
 

Also her whole team is just messy in general. Whether it’s constant teasing that leads to nothing, gaga going back on her words, having 0 communication with what’s going on with anything, the cringe of enigma or the timing of content. Her whole team needs to step it up or be demoted to just friends. 
 

Also, it’s a crime that she NEVER records her tours anymore. BTW, Joanne and even C2C were all so great and different. I don’t get why she chooses not to document them when it takes little to no work on her part.

She shouldn't have allowed her fans to get too close in her early days

Now alot of the fanbase comes off as entitled and actually goes to the point of getting angry at her if she doesn't fill the mother role like she did in (for example) Born This Way

I remember people getting pressed because she didnt wish them a happy holiday

The last real bond she had with the fanbase I think was ARTPOP and after that she grew very distant

Idk what happened specifically (none of us do) during that time but its obvious she really stepped back since then

I think the way the media treated her along with even her own fanbase during the time really changed her as well

I remember her stating she knew this would happen in the BTW tour saying "I know some of you will betray me" 

People have been mad at her for not being open and telling us everything like before but I dont see anything wrong with that

Many artists stay silent for a long time and may also choose to focus on their business and I don't see them getting hate at all..Gaga is held to a different standard 

Its ok for her to focus on herself more and to lay off the media and I Cant blame her

Along with that ever since ARTPOP she has shown fear of losing her fans again and I seriously think that era messed her up for a long time and pain maybe still lingers

 I remember in her doc she stated she was afraid her fans wouldn't like her if she stopped with the outfits and big statement pieces in the time of The Great Joanne

Im pretty sure shes doing better but I feel a part of her is scared of what happened after BTW happening again (We thank Tony for being there)

She seems like shes finally finding herself again after all this time and that change I think monsters should respect

We may not be used to it but she seems the best she has been ever since she took a step back from everything

She looks so at peace with herself and happy and plus she just filmed a movie

Many times her playing the piano in live performances is just for show and what we hear is a backing track (MR Superbowl, for example. If you look closely)

She's a little bit stiff when she dances and in retrospect, music videos/performances have had good editing to hide the fact that she's not the best dancer 

The greatest acting gig of her career so far was the fame -- born this way persona.

My point is just that the execution is not really good enough for someone of her level. The Stupid Love video for example, why do the costumes look so cheap and why is it so terribly edited? The concept was there, there was enough ambition to think of all the tribes and the overall story, but she was too scared to tell the costume team/editors/directors "this isn't good enough".

You cant know this because you dont know what happens behind the scènes also maybe you are exspecting to much from her

While I agree with this (and your other points too)

C2C DVD exists Granted, it made zero waves and I learned years after it was released. I don't know what happened.
