I beg to differ. Gaga was being demonized by everyone in the media

I think you are exaggerating... Her album under-performed and some media blew it out of proportion in a few articles. Can you show us any relevant magazine covers, newspaper headlines etc demonizing Gaga? A few lunatics with blogs is not "the media"

Applause spent 14 weeks in the Top 10 :selena:

And then the era ended. Hence why I said she should have gone for the riskiest songs from ARTPOP.

C'mon I am the same age as Gaga and I would read constantly awful things about her and the album. Now it's viewed differently but there's a reason why Gaga herself got away from that album for a long time. It was the album that almost made her lose her career. None of the singles performed well enough (maybe just maybe Applause) and her public image was tarnished and the GP was kinda tired of her "antics". So it's definitely not an exaggeration.

You can literally find hundreds of articles and threads trashing anything related with ARTPOP and her performances from that era.

What you posted are mostly album reviews... Sometimes albums get bad reviews... on average, ARTPOP got lukewarm reviews. However, outside the reviews, there was no media storm that the fans are imagining. There were some articles about ARTPOP bombing, but overall it was hardly as bad as the fans are describing.

Fans are imagining it was worse than it was because it was the first time Gaga's work wasn't received with universal praise and excitement.

Oh well, you asked for articles, I provided them and of course you'd find a way to dismiss them.

Battle 4 Ur Life

It's still one of the best songs of the album. I still remember the first time I heard it, how it blew me away. it was the closest song to fulfill her promise that (not exactly these words but sort of) "when you hear ARTPOP for the first time, the heavy electronic, crushing beat will make you tear up"

the production is absolutely crisp and screams futuristic (which was one of the keywords to describe ARTPOP before it came out)

sis delivered everything on this track.
