Why did Gaga choose Bloodpop?

Why do you think Gaga chose Bloodpop to help produce Joanne and Chromatica?

Arguably, Gaga must have access to any producer in the world. Rumors say she had studio sessions with super iconic producers like Giorgio Moroder. Bloodpop just seems relatively unknown and a bit random? Idk. I just looked through his discography on Wikipedia and honestly nothing stands out as that great to me (aside from the Gaga tracks).  He hasn’t won many awards, collaborated with many A list artists or worked on any iconic records. Most of his work is random remixes, and he hadn’t done much before Joanne.

It’s not like Bloodpop has a signature sound that Gaga liked, since Joanne couldn’t be more different than Chromatica. It’s also weird to me that Gaga chose to hire him again for Chromatica given that Joanne didn’t do too well with critics. Thoughts?

Because he and Gaga are super cool friends, Bloodpop makes sick music, he let her make the music she wanted to make and she let him make his art his way...

Bloodpop is also an enigma in ways. The first thing you think of is Purpose by Bieber. But Bloodpop's work sounds nothing like that... infact, there's so many different types of sounds he has created. He's not pegged into a box that everyone knows what sound he creates.

It just makes sense imo, like why not have Bloodpop on Chromatica?

I believe it all started when he produced 'Perfect Illusion' and then from there they became friends.

He has versatility and attention to detail.

The fact he is relatively low key is even better, it means Gaga isn't creating music based on an existing sound.

I think Mark Ronson introduced them and started working on Joanne after Gaga brought Angel Down work tape to the sessions. Bloodpop is such a nerd and loves anime, cartoons, 90's stuff so I can see why they got along, he seems like the type of guy that sees work as just hanging out with friends and I like that. Not to mention he's one of the few people in her life who have helped her get out of her depression and helped her heal in order to love making music again.

REALITY

He's not "unknown" though. He's worked with a lot of artists before Gaga.

It seems like Gaga works with people that she's just close with and fits her sound with them. Like, Joanne felt very "Mark Ronson" to me, which obviously makes sense since he was the main producer. Chromatica, on the other hand, feels very BloodPop," which again, makes sense because he executive produced the album.

He’s the most talented and versatile producer she’s worked with and I hope they continue working together.

I think interscope chose him for Joanne to switch out acoustic instruments for synthesizers and they clicked instantly so she chose him for Chromatica

BloodPop is a great producer. He used to produce under the name Blood Diamonds and did some really cool stuff w/ Grimes (Phone Sex, Ritual, and Go).

Because they became friends and loyalty is one of her greatest strengths but also one of her biggest weaknesses. She played him some new music and he told her he didn’t like it and it didn’t “sound” like her and then she allowed him to take the reins on LG6 production.

look I’m sure he’s a great friend and I’m happy that she was able to make music with people she is comfortable around but FOR ME PERSONALLY Bloodpops basic ass beat drops and house style production on the majority of Chromatica make it very hard to listen to consistently for me. The only song that has replay value is Replay.

the last thing I think Chromatica needs is more damn remixes on the songs already released. Why not do an additional EP and restart the era if the tour is happening instead of random features on songs that have been out for over a year??
