Chromatican 4,046
Just now, Emmanymar said: I agree. She should drop new music when the death counts are dropping and promotion is more easy to do. But she should at least drop a mv for Sour Candy before that Yeah I think dropping a music video in late January or early February is a good idea. There is still so much up in the air at this point. IF the tour is still on this could mean more promo & international promo but I’m not holding my breath because most promo spots are virtual or up in the air (Grammys). I think a performance with BP, music video and some tour promo is what’s left of the era. If the tour is cancelled then maybe we will get another music video. Let’s not forget we still have the Nick Knight project, and Gucci will be in theaters in ten months (given that they are open).

Now it's on hold, but it is not discarded. Wait for 2021. But this is not known yet, and the final decision still falls on Interscope. Can u tell us if you know something about the FW music video? My mind can’t imagine another concept than a simple one with the ambience of the apple promo shoots with Iris Van Herpen blue dress, maybe a-one-shot music video ... ugh I guess we‘ll never know
Ivy 12,589
Her team may also be thinking about her image for the movie. How she's seen by GP right now can reflect on the movie not just her own career, so I guess they are being super careful the meow in zombieboy

COVID was spiking again all across the country, we had the heated mess of weekly debates that only led to more turmoil all around. End of October is when Gaga began her public endorsement for Biden... With Gaga being such a power house with activism this year, she can’t just turn the tables and release videos and pop music cause her fans want it... EVERYONE (GP and fans) will drag her and call her social work performative and her career will turn down hill. She’s smart. And she knows this. She knows if she is gonna commit to activism, she has to commit whole-heartedly. Any other artist who has been releasing this year hasn’t been on Gaga’s level of activism so they aren’t going to be called out as severely. They can release and perform and do the promo without any serious repercussions to their career. Agree to disagree I guess. Even with Covid so much could have been done remotely without putting people at risk. I also don’t think she would be cancelled for releasing music related stuff. Nobody cancelled her during the vmas or 911, or with her million brand deals that have been happening throughout the year without missing a beat. Also, COVID can’t ever be used as an excuse for chromatica if she’s legit getting ready to film a whole movie with a full cast and crew.

I just don't know how they think that they will be able to fill up stadiums in 2021... 2022 maybe I've got an "F" and a "C" and I got a "K" too And the only thing that is missing is a bitch like "U"

adoga 537
I don't get why some of you think she would be cancelled if she promoted her music, when she promotes watches, perfumes and so on? I really don't get your point of view, sorry

I really don't get your point of view, sorry I know it happened right when Chromatica released cuz it was right when George Floyd was murdered, but she can release in a week or so, had months where she was able to, and other artists have been promoting left and right this entire time. I support Gaga's decision, but she needs to start promoting very soon if she wants to continue the era or else everything will be DOA before it's even released. I can't fathom her trying to push a Chromatica EP/Side B/Whatever 2 years after the original album with this talk of "only push it when COVID is dwindling". That will be next year and far to late in terms of commercial viability. Edit: Reading it back, I release I went off topic but oh well, my point still stands and I doubt Gaga would get cancelled if it didn't happen when Chromatica was released.
