this is absolutely laughable. of fvcking course this is a tragedy and deplorable and should not have happened. but at the same time, the protesters getting in the faces of people eating also shouldn’t happen, although it should go without saying they’re not at all on the same level of severity.

How come police didn't confront the guy with an automatic weapon? A black man can be killed just for existing while black; he's a "threat" because of his race. But  a white dude with an AR-15 shooting people somehow isn't a threat, even though he murdered two people and wounded others? 

 

I can't find the video but these dudes did a social experiment with open carry laws and race.

They had a white guy walk down the street with an AR. A cop stopped him, questioned him, and let him go. They did the same with a black man. A cop jumped out of his car and immediately aimed the gun at him, started shouting, and demanded that he and the pregnant camera woman get on the ground, never taking them out of his gun's sights.

It's gross tbh.

Yes. This is all so terribly worrying. I don't see what anyone can do though, violence on either side is not the answer and voting seems to get us no where. I mean, you hope that voting in your state and community will keep problems such as this from arising in your state, but even voting from that spot still leads to voting for the top positions in office and government and nothing ever changes. Most people don't want civil war. Most of these people out doing all this rioting and fighting are the young people, how can we persuade them of other ways to go about change? Destruction and violence makes everything worse and makes more hate and sorrow. All I see is kids going out roleplaying as if they are in a video game war. It's unnerving.

How can we as a society still accept this? It's getting SO hard to live in today's world, all you can see is hate, bigotry and violence. Every act of kindness is followed by 10 acts of hatred. I swear I am not okay.

The USA is literally becoming the Wild West again, people shooting each other and just carrying guns on the streets. It's insane what is considered normal over there. Absolutely baffled about this and at the same time so happy that I live in Europe where we have much more respect towards each other and the democracy.

Then again, you get what you ask for, people will still vote and keep the orange man in power that enables this behavior and pits people against each other instead of uniting them.

I like these two thoughts on what is going on in America, a broad view of our current set. Most people still want peace here, but no one has any solutions anywhere. We need some new cultural heroes to stand up and speak out and get us all to come together and have one another's backs. We don't want it to come to all out civil war started by these young people out just making destruction while they have no solid beliefs and eager time on their hands. The same people on opposing sides are the same from the start who turn up from city to city causing destructive unrest, not meaning the local peaceful protesters in each city who actually have a local opinion on the corrupt agendas behind the police brutality occurrences. Love, knowledge, honesty, compassion, security and solidarity in kindness and honor between all human beings involved brings change and all that is going on is the exact opposite. Look at your own local community and call people out, put them on notice if they are corrupt, start little, each of us, to go big. I see no other way. Teach your younger generations, don't make them angry, set them off and turn them loose.
