Miami's is 13,512 people per square mile. NYC's population density is the same as nearly both of those combined. New York City, in size, is a total of 302.6 square miles. Tokyo is a total of 847.14 square miles. Miami is 56.06 square miles. Comparing Manhattan to Miami makes more sense, as Manhattan is a city on its own. New York City is 5 full boroughs.
