Most artists especially pop artists don't write songs in that way. Especially for songwriters who write what they feel at the time like Gaga, you would never know your next record is what, you can't just find a idea and build every songs around it. They write when it hits, and sometimes it doesn't fit the theme for your current project, but you still write them anyway. That's why there'are many unreleased songs for artists, because most of them didn't fit the time they wrote them or got replaced with better songs.

While I don't personally think it's her best album, and I think her idea of the concept related more to the imagery from the album versus the songs themselves, I'd just be curious to see how things would look and sound if she did it the way I mentioned. 

No shade to her of course, I love all of her albums, I'd just be curious to see the final product if and when she ever decided to try a new process.

In interviews during hercareer, she talked about Art, Pop, Joanne, Fame etc but not because she was aspiring to do these albums but because they are ideas that inspire her. They came up organically as concepts and the same happened with Chromatica, very likely.

He said towards the end of the BTWB (might have been after she started recovering from her hip), she came up to him and said "The next album is called ARTPOP, let's get writing".

I can't say anything ill of SFA tho cuz that song is glorious through and through. 

Although I never really could determine based upon the interviews with the producers whether or not the LYRICS themselves we're finished back in the day, or if it was just the overall production and then Gaga and Elton did the lyrics later.

I think it was a song, with the sign from above concept

The production was the last thing done me thinks 

If I don't recall bad, the rave thingy from the outro was something added last minute according to the interview (?  or am I tripping? Ksksks

And ARTPOP failed to achieve what the concept is, the whole ART in POP, POP in ART, ARTPOP means anything is poorly executed, she should change the concept in the writing process if she can't write the good songs for it.

I think her focus was on simply incorporating "art" into the visuals, not the songs themselves.

I thought you meant she told him after the BTWB that the album was called ARTPOP
