This isn't to justify what he did, this was gross and he definitely should be charged and face jail time But I don't like sensationalism either In my opinion taking a legitimately bad situation but then adding a dash of salt and pepper to make it just a tad bit worse I think is an issue among people and the media that makes social divides between sides worse and I don't think it helps the other side see what they need to see People that don't acknowledge there's issues (or people that severely downplay them) will always pick up on sensationalism and then proceed to shrug it off as people being extra I know it's an unpopular opinion on this site but I think justice needs to be fought purely with truth and facts. Add ons or sensationalism just end up detracting from the people who need to take this stuff more seriously but don't This video is bad enough and speaks for itself without having to add the idea that the cop tazered a pregnant woman as if he knew I totally understand, I guess I'm not looking at it from a sensationalist point of view. Regardless of the cops having no idea she was pregnant it is still an important part because the baby later died. I personally didn't assume the cops knew she was pregnant but I can see how some people might.

I changed the title but the cop is still disgusting Yeah he definitely is. And by killing her baby as a result of unjustified agression (regardless of the fact that he probably didn't know about her pregnancy) he has blood on his hands

If you do something you shouldn't have, then you are still at fault for the consequences even if you couldn't have known all the reprecussions In this case his exagerated reaction and agression resulted in a dead fetus so that still makes him guilty of killing her baby The only reason I was pointing out he probably didn't know was not in anyway shape or form to defend him. It was just to point it out to anyone that sounded like they thought he knew because had he known she was pregnant and did this I think it would have been EVEN MORE despicable. That's probably the portion in the title to get more clicks but we all know that's media Setting that aside I really don't get so many of these cops and agression or disproportionate unjustified force. She was already down and they tazed her yet again I legit think some cops get this thrill of these situations like they are in a movie or something and get some kind of pleasure of being assholes and utter trash One thing all these videos surfacing have in common besides racial bias is that the force and agression the police demonstrate is always extremely disproportionate to the situation. They don't just fail to use de-escalation techniques. They literally throw gasoline into the fire I don't believe there was audio in the clip. It's not outside the realm of possibility that the woman would make the fact known that she was pregnant to the police when they start being aggressive with her. In my mind, that's the more likely scenario. Inside, we are really made the same. 🕊

It is of course possible that he knew Either way it's not that important if he knew. These actions were disgusting if he wasn't pregnant just the same But since everyone was specifically criticizing him over the pregnancy part of it, just seemed fair to mention there's a good chance he didn't even know He's still guilty of killing the baby either way again I'm not excusing him

If he perfectly knew that she were pregnant, it makes the act of tasing her on the belly a hundred times more horrifying because there was intent to greviously harm an infant. It's a much much graver crime. Inside, we are really made the same. 🕊
GagaEnigma 1,474
And I thought that cops in my country were bad for being uneducated jerks most of time... But this is so sad and should be charged with murder!

It's a much much graver crime. I know. But it's a really big if. She was barely showing yet if at all so I wouldn't make that assumption I often get heat for this kind of thing because trying to view things leveled as I think they are often people think in downplaying it but Im not. This is serious whether or not he knew she was pregnant and even if she wasn't this was not acceptable behavior I just don't like sensationalism either. Something being genuinely and indisputably bad shouldn't give people a free card to add even more negative aspects to the story to make it even worse just because they have a legitimate reason to be upset. And I notice people these days do that a lot and I really don't think this helps social devides because suppose u have people who defend cops and don't acknowledge the system has big flaws, if they pick up on these bits of sensationalism (as skeptics often do) it only makes them take the call to change less seriously. People should think about that. Again the video speaks for itself. He was agressive, the force was blown way out of proportion, and we also know as a result of his actions an unborn baby was therefore killed. That on its own is already really bad and exposes the problem purely based on truth and facts It's not necessary to add the insinuation that on top of that he may have known she was pregnant and did it anyway cuz it's more likely he didn't know. It doesn't excuse anything, but things shouldn't be sensationalized either I tend to side with the left and progressives more than right for most things in life but some of the unbalanced ways sometimes people who want to promote justice go about things either becomes a turn off or makes me take things less seriously. Now imagine actual moderates or conservatives These things should be taken into account. When u wanna promote change u have to take into account the mentality of the group of people that actually need to acknowledge the need for change and the tactics used by the left these days are not working, those conservatives just think about progressives as crazy lunatic radicals I dunno. I know I'm going on a rant. But I hate seeing good causes being ruined by extremes and I think this is just a small example of a bigger tendency for that sensationalism I'm talking about. Tho mostly true stuff, that added salt and pepper can easily get noticed by critics I swear in not trying to argue or start something cuz when I bring up stuff like this there's always someone that has to drag me. It's just how I see it. I think humans by nature have a hard time being balanced about things. Even when they are in the right and have the right idea there's often extremes that come with good intentions it seems
