I think people who cringe at the lyrics of these two songs are actually missing the point of the lyrics. Donatella is not meant to be taken seriously. It's funny. The bridge of Hair is realistic from the point of view of a 15 year old that wants to be accepted and invited to the popular parties. Hair is vulnerable and honest. Some of her best lyrics.
