Just that other normal European countries are normal countries and you live in a dictatorship.

How is it shown

and how is it affects to my personal life?

Russia needs strong leaders, I'm not endorsing Putin, but studying history you learn that.

Imagine such a big and diverse country being ruled by weak leaders. I live in Brazil I know how it feels.

But one thing I learned, the russian people is strong whenever they want.

I desire Russia to be Russia, the world needs it

I come from Lithuania but I went to Russian school and my parents are Russian - I can tell from experience that russians are some of the most sensitive, insecure, and the most gullible people out there... Diverse? Really? Diversity is quashed in Russia... Seriously, are you trolling, or are you really that naive and misinformed? :laughga:

There's a reason Russia boasts one of the highest suicide rates... Also, it's worthy of note that a lot of countries on a list of those with highest suicide rates have had dealings with USSR in the past  - Russian culture is one of the most rigid and conformity is forced - that's not strength, that's stupidity and disregard for the well-being of your people... The only reason you don't hear how miserable it makes people there is because Russian media is state media and independent press gets suppressed and often harassed... You're an idiot if you think these are markings of strength...

It's a joke! When you give me that look, it's a joke!

It might not affect yours, but it affects thousands of gay people's lives, for example, who are forced to suppress their sexuality or killed in concentration camps. It affects people's lives who want to be able to choose and vote for a different type of government, people who actually want freedom of speech, people who live in places that are bombed by Putin's government, people in Crimea who didn't want to be a part of Russia. So... cool that you like your life there, but Russia is far from being a democracy where ALL people live in peace and dignity.

Concentration camps? What are you saying? Russia is not gulag damn, we have anti propaganda laws that’s all, gay people not persecuted there, and nobody don’t give a f* what is going behind the close doors. And lgbt problems not the first problem in the society there

about Crimea, that’s very difficult situation, but people there live in poor when they with Ukraine and live almost the same after connection to Russia, but there are alot of positive changes and people don’t want go back, by the way, they can live much better if the rest of the world don’t ban them, all international companies left Crimea and don’t work with them, and it’s not Russian problem.

You should. Absolute power corrupts absolutely, and Putin is a murderous homophobic dictator, and this will only embolden him.

Diverse ethnically I mean. http://www.perepis2002.ru/index.html?id=87

When I wrote about russian strength I was referring to their history. If people, and I say, PEOPLE, don't support Putin why they keep votin on him or not votin at all?

The world isn't a copy of america or england or france, democracy is problematic, it faces many problems; we have regional and cultural differences

what I ment was that you cannot assume that Putin is an absurd or out of place when you look to Russia's history, again I'm not endorsing putin

I'm sorry but democracy isn't a fairytale, go ask russians in who they voted!

There was this whole article I've read I forgot if it was NYT or something on how Putin considers himself the successor to the Empire. That's why he was seeking legitimacy with the church.

Thisnis getting scary as ****, that man just cant let go of power. Now I would believe that BS of him using religion to validate all his crap. He is just narcissitic and is a threat to the globe.

I think for some of us, it would be wise to stop acting like the US is so-much-better than Russia. There are quality of life differences that make living in America better than Russia (voting rights, freedoms, etc).

But with reference to political power, there's not much of a difference. Wall Street, Billionaires and Politicians who do their bidding have all of the power and continue to do oppress the working class of this country (i.e. Oligarchy, not democracy).
