jhonyguy04 3
It's insulting to suggest Gaga only has fans that are young and Madonna only has fans that are older. You're being constantly reductive, you are tremendously illogical with every statement and you should probably just leave forever. You are tremendously pretentious and abrasive for no reason. It is not illogical to think that the majority of Madonna fans are older and that the majority of Gaga fans are gonna tend to be younger. Sure there is an overlap, but there is gonna be a trend or majority. I agree. why would you assume that most fans will have to choose? thats like saying gaga fans and madonna fans have to like the other artist which is stupid.. This lol. ditaparlo 0
Maybe not the majority, but at least a important part of general public. Many people that would go in both concerts had to choose between one of them, because the prices are too high, and the dates are very close. And it's not affecting only Gaga, but Madonna too. She's having a hard time to sell out some dates in LA too. And as I said, Madonna had a much bigger promo, at least here in Brazil. Since the dates were released, 8 moths ago, they put add in every f***ing site including youtube and banks, and tv commercials on primetime. Ok, well in that case they can't afford to go and fall into the category of fans who couldn't afford to go. For those that could afford to go, you're saying they aren't allowed to be Madonna fans that already spent their money on Madonna tickets and cannot afford to go? Do you even understand the idiocy of what you're saying?

JPM 781
look south america is a really poor region, i don't see why you complain, and yet, gaga wasn't that successful with born this way in foreign territories, if she toured with the fame monsters she would've brought a bigger crowd + her tickets were really expensive and yet she drew one of the biggest crowds of her career, it's impressive, if ARTPOP is that successful, and im sure it'll be, she can even sell out stadiums in argentina and brazil twice. but i don't see the point of so expensive tickets... is a concert really worth the 350$?! the prices in africa are reasonable, i mean everybody ought to go to a concert if he/she wants to but with the expensive tickets people can't even afford the bus ticket in territories like peru for example. i mean it's okay to have a ticket of 350$ in asia and australia but in south america, really... it's not reasonable. i'm sorry but it's just disgusting gaga to perform for 200$ in a ****ing small arena in the states where you can see everything perfectly even with a ticket of 50$ and to perform for 350$ in a gigantic stadium where it would be hard to see clearly from the closest seats. with the next tour gaga will be revisiting all of the countries that she was at this year, mark my words, she's just going to exaggerate the crowds and she's going to perform for much more money in stadiums like wembley, but she'll be mainstream in the future, and ppl will care for her music, this era was really ****ed up, interscope didn't want to listen to gaga, so here are the consequences, if they play her cards right in 2013 she'll be able to tour in 2014 and 2015 because of the image of ARTPOP. it's all because of the marketing. she releases the first volume, promotes is, she releases the second volume, she promotes it, she prepares a world tour, she does 2 smaller promo tours in some countries, she promotes not only in ****ing america and voila... sometimes i think we're better managers than the managers from intescope. George 363
Ok, the fact that Madonna and Gaga are touring the same region at the same time, Does affect BOTH of their sales. Specially when the tickets are very expensive. Yes, they both have devoted fans that wont have to choose, but a big part of the audience is general public, people who want to be entertained with a great show, and they Do choose one or the other. Its not that big of a deal, and its not insulting to any of the artists. For example, when the media here in Chile was covering Gaga's concert, they asked some experts about still having tickets available, and they said it was logical and expected, since the country is exploding of concerts this season. Yet Gaga still managed to bring 45k to the stadium, and Madonna will have, imo, a similar number. And the prices, have always been like this in here. When prices came out nobody freaked out about it, becuase they are 'normal'. In fact, the premium standing price here for gaga was the cheapest premium standing in years for a major act. Blaming prices for not selling out is wrong, the reason is high prices with too many concerts. Prices have been the same for years, and artists still can fill a place. Its a general opinion here that not only Chile, but South America, has become part of the international concert circuit only because of the big prices we are willing to pay. This may come off as too sharp and hard, but a country's poor population is not the target of concerts like these. To Think it wouldn't affect would be very NAHIVE, and the one who would be most affected would be the one who's tickets whent on sale last, wich in this case would be gaga They are BOTH pop singers, they are both Mainly Dance Singers, They are both divas, they are both women and both have high pretige in the world of Pop Music so yes, both of them touring at the same time in a region where these kind of shows only happen once every 2 years DOES AFFECT THE SALES
TheMadridHash 4
25k People reported by local media were present in Gaga's concert, wich is half of full capacity, that's NOT SO BAD
jhonyguy04 3
And it get's worst....the American media has picked up on the low ticket sales of the South American tour. This is bad because now the bad publicity will affect the ticket sales of the US. Here it goes: Last evening, Lady Gaga played to a very small crowd in Peru. Even though she tweeted she was playing in front of 50,000 fans, only about 10,000 to 20,000 showed up according to several South American news outlets. The venue she played in has a capacity of over 50,000. For several of her South American dates, Lady Gaga had a buy-one-get-one-free special. It has become a joke on South American social networks. Perhaps feeling thankful for the South American fans that did attend her shows, Lady Gaga welcomed intruders into the place she was staying in Peru. Instead of calling the police, Mother Monster welcomed her Little Monsters with open arms. Gaga certainly knows how to give back to her fans. Even though the South American leg of her tour has failed, Mother Monster has still made a lot of money in Europe, although some venues were downsized due to lack of ticket sales. Lady Gaga's North American Born This Way Ball tour hits the United States in January. There are tickets left for almost every date. Are you excited to see Lady Gaga perform? We will be attending Mother Monster's show in Las Vegas and will bring you a full review. http://www.examiner.com/article/lady-gaga-south-america-tour-fails-to-generate-strong-ticket-sales With that tweet, she set herself up once again to be backlashed by the media. lol. I don't know if we can recover from this. It's really bad. Like really bad. And he is right, the US tickets are not selling that well..... I expect like at least 200 articles saying how she is flopping. I am so sad. Why does this always happen with my favs....

jhonyguy04 3
LOL, if you read the guys profile, he dissess Gaga continously and praises Madonna and Christina. I think this is Peter Buchannans new identity.
