I find myself listening to this more than the official version. The song has definitely grown on me more since I first heard the leak. But that's the issue, the general public won't allow a song to grow on them anymore, it has to be an instant hit. But why does it matter so much if it's an instant hit or not? I think Gaga has a ton of songs that are better than Stupid Love, but at the same time I'm grateful we are getting new music. What's wrong if we wanted to show her love? Don't blame many fans attacking you 'cause they're exhausted seeing negativities. And don't be fooled by your opinion and treat it as reality then shove it down our throats (by posting consecutive negative threads) 'cause clearly it's not. Lots of fans enjoyed SL 'cause it's got the element of being a Gaga song. Many fans also liked the mv because she served looks and choreography (which screams classicGa). IMO, many who were disappointed are the fans who wanted Gaga to be a diva who ends careers (that's understandable). You think the song is too noisy/overproduced? It's very tamed compared to ARTPOP songs and BTW (the song) if you ask me. I guess radio stations are d*mb for picking it up and play many times 'cause it's not clicking to the GP like you said, right? Sound dated? Maybe because the chord progression reminds many of 80s club songs and BTW. But for me, it's a mix of 80s sound and modern (the chipmunk sample). The production of DSN and Blinding Lights are intended to sound like the songs in the past. Compared to those two, SL is obviously "fresher" (if you get what I mean). It's also unfair to compare lg6 era to TFM (released when Gaga hype is still everywhere) and ASIB (backed up with movie). You should compare SL to PI and you'll see the major improvement. We can't definitely use the "SL is backed up by ASIB's success" narrative because SL sounds totally different to Shallow, INLA, and ARUTW. (I'm wondering if Gaga could skyrocket in the charts had she released a powerballad as a lead instead). P. S.
