One day ago I would have said yes, but now I'm not so sure after seeing all those dark red updates   Without seeing any statistics and ONLY hearing the song, I would guess it would be a hit.

Not sure. Mariah hasn't really been hot news for a long time, and the song itself is very R&B, which may not fit in on radio. However, ballads are trendy right now, and she also has Idol to use a promo platform, which worked well for JLo with On The Floor...

 

I'm just going to go out on a limb and say no. I think Beautiful will be a moderate hit at best, unless Mariah makes use of her position on Idol to promote the song well. Video premiere, vocally spot-on performance will probably help it out a lot.
