I wish y'all would stop calling Biden "Hillary 2.0".

She had an incredible career that turned her into one of the most qualified presidential candidates alive. Centrist or not, she would have been an exceptional president which is why she got more votes than Trump.

Biden is just...there. With a mixed history, lame policies, and riding the popularity wave of a former president he was "bros" with.

Simple progressive vote is divided and the moderates still have a candidate to pick over Bernie. If the table was flipped and the moderates never dropped out people would be saying the same **** about Biden’s viability.

Moderate vote is still as or even more divided. Hopefully bloomberg and warren will drop out.

It depends what they will do in California.

I really hope Bernie pulls through in Texas, it's close!

Can someone explain how Bernie can beat Trump if he can’t beat Biden? :enigma:

Pretty sure it's due to most Dems being willing to rally behind Trump's opponent, regardless of who it is.

And don't forget independents. Bernie DESTROYS Trump with them but they can't participate in primaries.

I think it's important to also remember that it's pretty typical for parties to switch after 2 conservative terms

Also she won the popular vote by nearly 3 million and Trump got lucky with the vote divisions

I think it's unfair to call her such a miserable failure or so unelectable for loosing

We literally do not know if the result would have been any different with Bernie in 2016

That’s not true in all states. I’m a registered Independent and I always vote in Primaries.

Othon

Let me just say this, because the responses in here from every right-wing “liberal” ghoul on GGD that crawled out of the woodwork to gloat are genuinely repulsing me.

There are millions of Americans relying on a Bernie Sanders presidency to survive. People with endless medical debt that they’ll never be able to pay off. People rationing their medications just to stay alive.

My grandparents have spent a massive portion of what was supposed to be their retirement on medical costs. They needed a Bernie presidency to avoid possibly going broke. If Bernie doesn’t win this thing, I’m going to be paying off student loans until I die.

Biden is a monster. His record is attrocious, he can barely get through a sentence without sounding completely incoherent, and he would lose to Trump easily.

And contrary to the tone in here, this primary isn’t over. Bernie just won California and he might win Texas, states with more than the others combined.

Harris Walz 2024

California at 6%. Mailed in ballots likely counted. Votes will be split. Bloomberg, Biden both look viable.

Sanders - 27.5

Bloomberg - 19.7

Biden - 17.4

Warren - 10.7

Pete 10.4

Amy - 5.9

Married the Night

Less than 1% separating Biden and Bernie in Texas. Guess I’ll find out who won in the AM.

Remember, be kind guys. This is an emotional time for a lot of people no matter the outcome.

Night!

I like to think he'd win the Great Lake states that cost Hillary the election. Lots of blue collar and manufacturing people there that might have leaned toward Bernie over Trump but there was no selling Hillary to them.

But you're right, all we can do is speculate about "what if's" for 2016.

I think either Biden or Bernie will give us a fair shot against Trump. Or at least I'm telling myself that.

What?! I didn't even know that :toofunny: Lemme see if Florida is one. 99% sure it's not but it doesn't hurt. My grandma wants to vote for Bernie or Liz but she refuses to put the D next to her name for some reason :smh:

Bloomberg is ahead of Biden in California and yet some people cant see that his impact tonight is bigger than Warren's.

I don’t know how people showed up and then bubbled in Bloomberg as their pick.

Biden can't even talk in coherent sentences and got confused with his own family members who were right there with him

And he's supposed to be the nominee to defeat Trump :awkney:

Trump will obliterate him..
