Biden will lose to Trump. He has momentum right now, but you are underestimating just how potent Trump's base is. And do you seriously think Biden can take him on in a debate? He literally forgot some of the words of the Declaration of Independence today. Like, it's laughable how much he screws up, yet you're so confident in having him be the nominee? Bernie gets indepdents, Bernie gets moderates. Biden won't. You think any moderate Republican or independent will vote or Biden? News flash! They won't. And they're the group we need to defeat Trump. Moderate Republicans will vote Trump no matter what, and independents aren't voting for an establishment Democrat who's going to keep the status quo. We need a younger progressive candidate next time. Much of the critique of Bernie from establishment dems was about age and Bernie's heart attack, although I'm not sure most of it was genuine...? As passionate as I am about politics, I even barely found time to do it with my work schedule. Older adults have the luxury of free time. Elections should be holidays. I mean, Bernie won in the same way he did in Nevada as Biden's did in SC, and what did the media do? Nothing about it. They brushed it aside. And now look, with Klobuchar and Buttigieg stepping down to endorse Biden, that helps. A lot.
