But then again, those HD stills from the set of the music video... They weren't even screen grabs, but full-on stills from the filming that somehow leaked out of the editing room. I don't know, there's something very fishy about it all...

it looked like BTS photos

Probably not planned but... The damage is minimal

Fans are still loving it and most of GP didn't hear the leak

It's fine

the funny par about the leak is fans guessing the lyrics in the leak and being wrong

then actually getting the lyrics through Apple and confirming Monsters got it wrong lol

the "Higher, higher" (which I don't know how or why those lyrics fit into the song at all?:huntyga:

Ever since the leak I've only sang "hey yeah, hey yeah!":firega: .. which is what they indeed are instead of higher.

Also, one I'm a little disappointed at is "now it's time to free me from the CHAINS" is actually "now it's time to free me from the SHAME":ohwell:

The melody that you choose can rescue you ♥

REALITY

No, I don't think it was planned.

What interests me though is just how little it's change. I mean, it's practically the exact same version. Yes, there are differences here and there, but they're very minimal. The version we got was from January 2019, so did she just think it was 100% perfect back then?

EDIT - I just realized something. In her Zane Lowe interview she said that she had a lot more confidence in her songwriting for this era. She explicitly said that she would write something down, or she would have some melody in her head, and that was that. She said she didn't really have a lot of insecurities when she would write things; she would just make a song and that was it.

I like that. Even in that short interview, I think it shows that Gaga is more confident with herself and is willing to just make fun, upbeat stuff without overthinking it.

I initially thought it was planned, but since the song didn’t change very much I don’t think it was.

I am SO glad that Gaga and her team stuck to the plan and didn’t really comment on it or change course to accommodate it. She gets to control the narrative now, and she gets to follow through with her vision of the era.
