So much there adds up to let's hold off for now and once there is either an end in sight for this pandemic OR it is more under control we can focus on a release. The entire world has shifted focus to how we handle ourselves in this time - releasing now would just be wrong. The album will not be received in a totally positive light with whats going on and that will impact sales and the sales ARE important because a lot of money has already gone into the creation of this album. Nobody worked on this album for free - it was planned to be a HUGE release. We can't just sit and say "let the music stand on it's own" because ultimately that was never the plan, it was always supposed to be a much larger project for the art to make it an event. So releasing now would be BOTH tone deaf AND financially not feasible. THIS PRETTY MUCH SUMS UP EVERYTHING THANK YOU! It's the most logical thing I've read in a while in here. I understand why a lot of us got mad at the postponment, but, looking at the bigger picture, it's just really bad BAD timing to put out a dance record in the middle of a deadly pandemic. The fact that Gaga herself confirmed to have a secret Coachella set on release week was a way to tell us how she wanted to promote this album. She wants it to be an event, she wants to do promo and let the world know, that's why she said during that Apple interview that she intends for a good chunk of the world to hear it.
