Lyrically, the song seems to be about someone who’s going through some issues with a romantic partner, and they’re going off at them for being too controlling. So just imagine a cowboy, fresh from a fight with his wife, decides to make his way to the nearest bar and drink his feelings out. He’s already drunk in less than an hour, and then oop - Don’t Tell Me starts playing and he relates to the lyrics. He gets on a table and starts shouting out the lyrics, even pulling some messy dance moves for the song’s dance vibe. It has elements of country mixed with electronic / dance and has lyrics that a drunk lovesick cowboy might relate to. That’s why I chose this song Now go stream it gheys.
