Not sure anymore. I have a feeling Rihanna’s next album might cause a frenzy because her status has definitely been elevated since 2016. It’s like she’s entering Beyoncé’s level of “untouchable” during her self titled era. She’s also a streaming darling even though she hasn’t put out new music.  :air:

Untouchable?

As a huge Rihanna fan, I don't see how that's true. She's definitely gonna do well on the radio and singles charts but she's never been an albums artist for some odd reason. She's also not considered a legendary live performer like Gaga and Beyonce are. She's decent, but she has more style than substance. Whereas Gaga and Beyonce take a lot of pride in delivering quality live shows.

I feel like Gaga is more favoured by the Grammys and critics than Rihanna is.

I’d like for it to be LG6, but c’mon guys, it’s Rihanna :huntyga: She’s going to hog up a lot of attention.

I think they both now have the same amount of GRAMMYs.

Candy Gaga

People need to stop underestimating Gaga cause as much as Rihanna is a queen she has only 2 #1 albums outta 8 and she usaully sell in the 200K lane while Gaga is the first artist this decade to achieve 5 #1 albums and all her albums this decade even a Jazz cover album debuted at #1. So I'd say Gaga will outsell album wise and Riri has always been a single artist so she takes that.

Untouchable as in nobody in the gp will criticize the record because it’s Rihanna. Sure she’s not a performer but she’s a household name and brand now. That’s her angle like Beyoncé’s was being a phenomenal performer. There’s a good chance her next record will benefit greatly from it.

I’m not entirely sure how successful LG6 will be. I could either have a tepid response because ASIB hype died down a while ago in the US or it could cause a renewed interest in her again.

Rihanna is insanely popular and at this point that will absolutely translate to a streaming frenzy, in a way that a Gaga release in 2019 would not imo. If it were between the two I don't think Gaga would win out tbh. Even though she does better in album sales historically.

Miracle

LG6 #1 album

Rihanna #1 single

Rihanna would probably win in the long run due to her massive streaming power, but I'm pretty sure Rihanna won't move more than 50-60K pure sales in her debut week

it honestly would depend on the songs they put out. i feel like they'd be neck-and-neck song wise

but albums, gaga hands down. she has a much wider audience after C2C and ASIB than Rihanna does

Let's face it, rih gained MORE young fans than gaga in recent years.

If they drop music on the same day, she will beat gaga's ass to hell:saladga:
