Lmao I don’t like him though? I legit never listen to his music, I’d be saying the exact same thing if Ed Sheehan had tweeted this stuff when he was 14 or any other person. Shawns had no history of being racist yet people feel the need to “end” him over some tweets he made as a teenager? How can we expect teens to act like adults & make rational politically correct decisions when they legit haven’t developed fully? It’s just ridiculous, like this is seriously what people are upset over? Maybe they should be posting about the Amazonian fires that are about to destroy 20% of our oxygen & destroy the rainforest. There’s a million things more important than a teenagers tweets that people’s SJW energy should be going towards.

Those were racist comments, not “racially insensitive”. It’s also ridiculous how mostly white people or non-black rush to forgive him and justify, it’s not up to us.

Also not everything can be justified with young age, you’re suppose to know this at 14, kids are not born racist but they’re either taught from home or environment. How do you even know if his views have changed or he’s just smarter at not tweeting such things and now posting apologies after being exposed..

@lovedillon you don't need to be 18 y/o to learn that racism is bad. Often times this is something taught from a very young age, to not judge people based on how they look and bully others.

One of these comments were posted when he was 15. But sorry that's shameful.

He became famous at the age of 16. So he was old enough to know how to sing, how to tour, how to handle fame, but yet didn't know racism is bad?

What's worse is the way he handled this first. He initially claimed his friends wrote this and that people should move on.

And then there was this apology. Heck even JB did a better job at apologizing.

I'm not saying I don't agree with you but you can't be sure this statement is 100% real. In fact, Gaga, who is one of the most famous people on earth, still can't handle fame completely 11 years into her career. Taking this into account, I'm not sure you can expect a 16 yo to do it automatically upon starting his career. The same goes for touring, and as for singing--you don't have to be old or mature to know how to sing lol

Yes, because every teenager should be held to the standard of an adult who’s brain has fully developed & has had time to comprehend the consequences to their actions 😂 Has he shown a consistent history of being racist? Has he bullied people endlessly? Has he discriminated against people? Does he treat people like less? No, so get over it. A few tweets when he was 15 does not define him as a person ESPECIALLY when his actions are evidence to the contrary. Seriously, THE AMAZON IS BURNING & you’re sitting here sh*tting on someone for tweets they made when they were a teenager? Time for some re-evaluating.

Yikes! I don’t understand why people keep their old tweets when they become famous. So many people have been “cancelled” and dragged over stuff they posted years ago!
