Why does everyone hate Eh Eh

thank you for having this be the first time i ever watched the mv, i didn’t even know there was one  i love the aesthetic and sound, it’s very lighthearted! it could have smashed if it was pushed more, it’s easy to listen to and sometimes you need some songs like that on your playlist, not everything has to have super deep and meaningful lyrics

Eh Eh is basic. It's a bubblegum pop song and it totally clashes with the other songs on The Fame.

It's a little more candy cane than some of the songs but how doesn't it fit in with stuff like Boys Boys Boys and Starstruck? Same vibe I would say. It's just a "sweeter" moment in the same soundscape to me But I guess I get it.

In retrospect, it's a really cute and fun and light song.

That said, at least in my head space as a 13 year old who just started getting into pop music and Lady Gaga('s pop music), I was really enamored by her whole "dark, weird, campy, and moody" style of pop. Eh Eh didn't feel like that at all, and I immediately conflated that song (and a few others) as an industry/label push for a certain quota of bubblegum pop to sell to the masses.

Was I wrong? Probably not entirely, but I definitely acknowledge now that I had a whole ass tree up my *ss. It's a nice song that I can now enjoy as it is.

It's one of my personal favorites and is a mood/vibe we've rarely gotten from her over the years. The Cure to me was like it's 2017 reincarnation and everyone trashes that one as well, of course.

Jewels n drugs?? Kinda surprising from you didymus. Feels like the only hated gaga track that I can actually understand why without hesitation.

I feel like The Cure out of everything in her discog is most aurically related to Eh Eh and it of course gets an undeserved amount of hate for the same reasons Eh Eh did back in 09/10/11/12. But it's basicness is still so current that people have yet to be able to look past it and enjoy the sweet light vibe that we so rarely get from her.

I love all these songs and especially Bad Kids and Fashion! don't deserve the hate. I understand Jewels N Drugs though

I don’t dislike it, but it doesn’t sound like a Gaga song to me. That is my biggest complaint. It sounds too much like something Taylor Swift would sing .

my goddd Bad Kids is Iconiccc! I would also put summerboy in this list... My fav from the fame ughh so good makes me wish I had a summertime boyfriend  So sad some people hate it. Eh eh is a masterpiece too.

It's a lot catchier and more pop than 90% of ARTPOP. It also got great global radio and club airplay and was a perfect easy-listening pop song that brought gaga closer to the masses. Don't listen to those bottoms that hate everything the GP likes! Resist!

Turns out only 2 people hate Eh Eh   Just cause someone doesn't like a song that you like does not mean 'everyone' hates it. I like Eh Eh, shes a cute Itallian girl
