I live only about 2 hours from Reading, so this was up in our local news yesterday, but despite queer organizations being sparse outside of Philly/Pitt/Hburg, there has been a bunch of action to counter the mayor already. As another poster already mentioned, if you can, please call 610-655-6234 and leave a polite but forceful message indicating that you stand with Reading’s queer community, and if possible give a personal example of how seeing Pride flags displayed in public has helped bring joy to your life, improved your mental health, fostered a sense of community, etc. The queer community in Reading could really use your support, so please help.
