I'm sorry, but what super duper innovative **** should she have come up with? A laser lipstick? An eyeshadow that is a color that nobody knows of, but Gaga personally found and came up with it with super high-tech technology?

WHAT DO YOU PEOPLE WANT OMG

The way I see it is who gives a **** what the beauty community thinks, this beauty range seems like it's targeted at normal people to have fun, be creative and be themselves. I don't care if make up gurus are dragging it to the pits because it's not made for them. It's sold on Amazon to be easily accessible to everyone.

I like that it's not another pretentious "high-end" range.

And anyway, not all makeup products are vegan and many are still tested on animals and sold in China. I hope you're not being a hypocrite by complaining about the human rights thing but turning a blind eye to animal suffering, like many other beauty experts.

You sound incredibly white. Have you ever thought about why POC always bring their race into the equation? Maybe if you walked in their shoes or understood what it feels like being excluded because of your ethnicity, you'd understand.

You want to know why idiots like trump get elected?  Because the left has its own devisive rhetoric making the average white American defensive.  Average white American working for a living doesn’t feel “privileged”.  We don’t need more divisive language if we are all going to work to actually solve underlying issues.

Haus Labs x Amazon will be one of the biggest successes of this year and the 2020s and beyond. You think Gaga doesn’t know what she’s doing? I think you are a just another scaredy little hypocrite.

The worst part for me is that she's using Amazon as a launch pad for the brand. Amazon has one of the worst track records for human rights. The way they treat their employees is downright inhumane. Did she do research on Amazon beforehand? The privileged white lens in which she looks through is staggering. First thinking her non-US fans can afford Vegas and now this. Is her message of empowering makeup right if it is in the expense of overworked, exhausted Amazon employees who get treated like ****?

Most big companies failing U.N. human rights test, ranking shows

Worst track record for human rights abuses go to:

Tapestry, Phillips 66, PetroChina, BRF, Costco Wholesale, Starbucks, Nordstrom, Falabella, Devon Energy, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation, Gazprom, Ross Stores, Kraft Heinz, China Petroleum & Chemical, China Shenhua Energy, Macy's, Shoprite, Prada, CNOOC, Hermes International, Surgutneftegas, EOG Resources, Alimentation Couche-Tard, Valero Energy, Monster Beverage, Heilan Home, Kweichow Moutai

SOURCE

Amazon isn't even on the list by CHRB (Corporate Human Rights Benchmark). The annual study by CHRB is based on the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, as well as additional industry-specific standards. SOURCE

I won't deny that Amazon is treating employees unfairly, but again, that is not an isolated issue for only Amazon. But I really think you should do your research on worst human rights abuses. Amazon is set up in developed countries which fairs WAY BETTER than working conditions in developing countries.

If it fails, I think it's going to be that Gaga is talking "at" us rather than talking "with" us. She's not engaged anymore with her fans and you might be looking at a very bad era coming up.

Gaga could've used BeautyBay, Sephora or any other big online makeup retailer. WHY Amazon and then preach about kindness when you're aligning yourself with a company that has killed their employees literally by overworking them? Do their lives not matter because they're POC and not screaming gay white twinks? Answer me that LilyLark. As far as I'm concerned, both Apple and Nike have worked towards improving their human rights record whereas Amazon hasn't.

I mean, Sephora isn’t exactly an amazing company to work for or paying living wages. When I worked there I made barely above minimum wage, thankfully it was only for a few months. You can forget about benefits too unless you’re in a higher up management position. Same with Ulta.

I still shop there as I do Amazon but my point is - no matter where she chose to sell her makeup line someone would find an issue with it.

Yes. The products look like any other beauty brand today but I have to wait and see about the quality of it. If it's mediocre or bad then it's definitely not well thought out. If it's very good quality i'd be impressed

It just looks like every celeb is gonna come out with a new lip liner these days :ladyhaha: it's saturated af

She shouldve picked another business in my opinion, like sunglasses or shoes, since she's famous for her extravagant crazy shoes she couldve done something interesting with it.

Really tired of this “I am poor, I can’t afford it, you’re bad” narrative. No one forces you to buy anything and those things you can’t afford are not daily necessities at all. Just get on with your life. :saladga:

Epione

I’m just hoping the product itself won’t have asbestos or plastic or glass or hair in it. Because we would be cancelled.

I do see your point. I'm totally neutral right now, it's not out yet and yes, your last sentence has a point. I'm just seeing how it all pans out so far. Shane your being dragged on here xo
