Is Your Love For Gaga Declining?

No. Still the same.

I am a loyal bitch, you know. Once I stan some artists or bands, it is forever. I am not fickle.

I even continue stanning those who are no longer exists or only doing reunion every now and then like Destiny's Child, 2NE1, and Spice Girls. Still keep buying stuffs off eBay and everywhere else, stuff I haven't got, to complete my colletions.

Y'all can say anything about age. But age doesn't matter. Y'all just boring with that excuse tbh. :fan:

I have a theory that there are three reasons why we aren't stanning as hard. Bear with me.

The first reason is age, as some of us have agreed on. We just don't have as much time in our hands anymore.

Now, for the past two years she's been on an amazing ascending curve; Super Bowl 2017, major ASIB buzz and BB 200 #1 in 2018, the Oscars, three GRAMMYs, BB Hot 100 #1 this year. She's a ****ing Academy Award winner now.

There was always this shared sense of "injustice" in our fandom regarding the GP's reactions towards Gaga. We always stanned hard for her and fought for her because someone always had something bad to say about her since Madonna opened that window back in the Born This Way era.

We don't need to defend her anymore. She has consolidated her Legend status in the eyes of the public now.

So I believe that is the second reason why we're not as invested in her at this moment: because she's succeeding and overcoming all of her obstacles.

The third and final reason is Enigma.

It's a Vegas residency, and a whole new show - a successor to every other tour she has done -  that was planned, conceived and is performed outside from the release of a new full-length album.

Enigma is a new show, but it also isn't. We've all heard the songs before. We've all seen her perform those songs. There is nothing new, musically speaking. So is it actually worth it to go to Vegas to see her perform the same old songs without new material? Is it worth actually spending much more than you would spend for a normal concert of hers?

I believe this is why many people aren't really feeling this era. Let's hope LG6 re-ignites that old flame for Gaga that we all used to have.

. When I started to love Gaga, I was still in middle school so my obsession with her was right up there with every other middle school obsession i had. Now that I’m in my early 20s, I wouldn’t say I don’t love her the same, just that I’ve matured.

8 years ago I was busy trying to recreate her living dress with sheets of paper and I’d be working in my 10th disco stick :laughga:

Yes. But that's just for the moment, because I get bored, discover other artists too, then fall in love with Gaga again, and so on. That happens with all the pop girls I stan so, it's kind of a natural process.

I always lose interest in songs/singers after a while. I still love her of course but definitely not to the same extent I once did

Can’t relate.

I actually feel way more connected to her now than I did in past eras.

I’m blonde, I’m skinny, I’m rich and I’m a little bit of a bitch

Yes.

There used to be a genuine connection with her fans from 2008-2013. Now she only comes around if she has something to sell us. However, I’m staying around for the quality content, I’m not obligated to support/consume anything I don’t like.

People make these threads every few months, every album cycle, every new release cycle, after every meltdown. It happens. Some of us grow past her. Some of us keep loving her. Some of us take breaks. Some who loved her since the beginning don't. Some who didn't become super fans.

It's all okay. I feel like there isn't a majority one way or the other and she seems to be gaining fans, if anything.

She's more detached to the fanbase now honestly.

Age might be a big factor. Gone were the days when we're the younger gays compared to Britney/Xtina stans. Time passed, our priorities in life might've changed.

As for myself, I now consider myself an all-around pop music stan with a special spot for Gaga:heart:

No and it never will :diane: . What changed is my obsession with her and her music. Back when I became a stan, my music life basically only consisted of Gaga and there was no room for other music. But when she became quiet post-ARTPOP I branched out music-wise and would call it now healthy again  .

Ew, David!
