MJH infinitely. Like to an incomparable level MJH has levels to it's production and theatricality and i always found JW kinda flat and i don't love the distorted effect it has

I agree. John Wayne from Cheek to Cheek is much better.

Inferno

John Wayne is superior, underrated in the grand scope of things. However, I do like and appreciate the spirit of Mary Jane Holland much more, but conceptually/lyrically is dumb af to me. Its very cringe and makes me cringe even more what a fan favorite it seems to be. Like....I get that its theatrical, I enjoy her vocal performance on the track sure, I even like the production which I think some people ive seen online over the years do not, buuut....im sorry its just a dumb song to me. Nothing outweighs how silly I think it is. Even the title, her persona Mary Jane Holland, I can't.. I always hated that weird little weed obsessed phase she was in. It was like that 15 year old that just discovered weed and blatantly talks about or wears weed related things just so they can tell everyone that they smoke weed as if anyone even cares. MJH and Dope are audible manifestations of a moment in Gaga history that I never liked and am glad is far buried in the past at this point lol
