LOVEDRUG 10,811 Posted June 2, 2019 Share Posted June 2, 2019 We all know Gaga loves jazz, and has the perfect voice for it So in my opinion, it'd be incredible for her to do a whole album of original jazz songs, not covers. I'd be here for this almost as much as LG6 (sorry not sorry) and I think she could create a catchy hybrid of jazz and pop, in the vein of Bowie's Young Americans but with jazz instead of soul. Ziggy 12,031 Posted June 2, 2019 Share Posted June 2, 2019 I can't with everyone going "I don't like jazz!" when they've literally only heard Gaga's very straight covers of American standards. Jazz is still alive and well and far far beyond what Gaga does. It's an incredibly interesting and experimental genre so if Gaga tapped into that and wrote and recorded with some of those people I'd love it. Jazz is very much not a sleepy white person genre. What Tony does, and what Gaga does now, is very much a throwback, but the current age of jazz is quite experimental and out there. Very up Gaga's alley.
