I'm assuming in context it sounds different (e.g. obvs. playful), because the livestream/twitter reactions made it sound like people were very much into the show even tho they thought the sketches were insane.  People were also singing along to various songs and dancing. It looked completely different from SAP, in that people enjoyed it and had fun. She also gave a pretty nice speech about Steve and Laurene Jobs.

But..I sort of agree even if this was toned down/worked better than her previous software audience. The sketches/concert banter work at Vegas or her concerts, but she rarely did it at charity gigs in the past (or maybe she did, but taking shaky hidden video used to be harder or people actually respected the no cameras rule lol). And it seems even weirder at paid gigs, because while it's "Gaga" and if you hire her you kind of have to expect bizarre/raunchy/weird...it just seems off and the audience could take it personally because they probably are't used to/expecting it. It's a bit like at how she used to do performance art at awards shows, and it worked 90% of the time but occasionally it just went too far/didn't work. Sometimes the sketches/banter/performance art (not the music) doesn't fit the audience or the type of environment in which she is giving the show, imo. At SAP it really didn't fit; Apple was a lot better but it still didn't entirely work imo.

*Also, fans wonder how the bad headlines occur (like SAP) even though in this case people seemed to have focused on the nice Steve Jobs speech and the Apple headlines are good. In part it's because LM RT something like Gaga telling people to tell her to f*ck herself, instead of the crowd singing along to MR or You and I or the software guys dancing their as*s off. I literally saw from one of the main Gaga twitter accounts tweet about Gaga f*cking herself had like 5X as many RTs as all the other tweets. Most tabs aren't going to comb through hundreds of livestreams and tweets, they just look at what gets the most attention.

Yeah, I'm guessing in context it wasn't as..awkward..since the crowd was into the show and twitter/IG was positive unlike SAP. Granted, it was defn. toned down from SAP, too. But like I said, Gaga's usual concert banter/sketches/etc. just doesn't really translate to these paid corporate gigs. I cringed a bit, too.

And I can't with LM on twitter putting the most focus on this ish, instead of the Steve Jobs speech or the crowd singing along with numerous songs, and then wonder why Gaga sometimes gets bad headlines from the tabloids or why PopCrave only tweets this and not her Steve Jobs speech. Twitter LM, not all of them but a lot of them, always draw attention to the cringe/awkward ish, and not the great moments.
