Thotiana 872 Posted April 10, 2019 Share Posted April 10, 2019 Are people (including fans) holding Gaga to a high standard for LG6, in the way they did before the release of ARTPOP? 6:20 I think this time, it won’t be much about the commercial success (which I think she will have at least better than ARTPOP and Joanne together) but whether she can deliver a critically acclaimed album. Watch 8:30: that is the most heart-wrenching, real moment Gaga has perhaps ever had in an interview. She was broken and jazz literally saved her life. And anyone who can't see the beauty in C2C, and the historical importance of it is wildly immature and lacks empathy and a larger appreciation for art tbh. It ain't just about bops. Even if you don't want to admit it, Gaga is known for dance-pop music and if she doesn't release something along that route then I see many fans new and old, not sticking around. I'm all for her exploring different genres but I fell in love with Gaga in my early 20's because I was going through alot and I could just put her music on, dance, and forget all my worries. I love a lot of ARTPOP, Joanne, and ASIB but there's just something magical about BTW, TFM, and TF.... I can't explain it. And she needs more "hits" to keep the GP coming back for more. I love all her music but BR, PF, etc is getting less exciting for me the more I hear them. I don't expect her to remain the same as far as sound or even genre (EDM, Dark pop, whatever you want to call it), but we need something we can play at the gay clubs again and RUN to the dancefloor because "That's my song!!!"
