Gaga's vision for Born This Way

Do you guys know which version of Born This Way (14 or 17  track version) is Gaga's true artistic vision for the album? I love the filler free one but if she envisioned the 17 track version and the label cut a few tracks I'd listen to the 17 track version more.

I'm pretty sure that the Deluxe version is the one Gaga envisioned and the "normal" one was a money grab for Interscope for fans to buy more albums :lolly:

I'd say the 17 track version. The fact that the deluxe songs are listed in at specific spots and not just at the end of the album makes me believe she thought a lot about it, and didn't just throw in 3 random tracks just for the sake of having a deluxe version

I'd also say the 17-track version since she has mentioned that she Black Jesus is her favourite song (if I remember correctly)

...is an incredibly produced and written song devoted to a close friend of Gaga's who committed suicide :triggered:

I honestly do think the deluxe tracks are filler. The Standard version is perfect. FOHL is filler, great message and a very good song, but filler in the context of the album. The Queen feels like filler because it’s too similar to TEOG and just feels like an afterthought. BJAM has an amazing chorus, bridge and intro but I hate the verses.

Even with those complaints, I still consider BWT her best work.

There's no filler free album because Bad Kids is in every single version

I think she achieved what she wanted with all 17 tracks. As far as the singles is a different story since at one point she wanted 10 singles.

What is your meaning of "filler"? IMO, Bad Kids fits the theme of BTW perfectly, since its meaning is about no matter how bad or different you are, if you have great intentions and your heart is pure, you are still a good person (my interpretation). I think that pretty well fits in BTW

This my personal opinion and I totally get that. I do know if fits with the theme. The song itself isn't that great to me. I feel like I'm listening to two different songs when I hear the chorus. That's what I think.

Confused as to why people say FOHL doesn’t fit the theme of the album. It’s right next to a song called Highway unicorn road to love. Both songs are about finding love, and so is electric chapel. I can understand it not completely fittingsonicly but it definetly does thematically. And sonically it does sound good in the album in my personal opinion. I love the deluxe version because The queen is there and it’s one of my favs. Idk about her vision though. I’d like to think the deluxe was the original vision
