The movie is gonna flop, and the GP will have another reason to laugh at her" Be honest. I won't judge you. Bradley 59,023 Posted March 23, 2019 Share Posted March 23, 2019 I've always been a fan of Bradley and it was surreal to know that she was going to star with him as a lead actress. Also the story of A Star Is Born was very intriguing to me and it seemed like Oscar material (which turned out to be after all) so those prospects were very exciting to me. They seemed like a power couple and months after the actual announcement I still found myself to be in disbelief about this being a real project of Gaga's. Btw on a side note, if she shows up in future movies, I don't think trailers can market her as an Academy Award winner, because she won for Original Song. I was definitely worried it would flop, or that people wouldn't give Gaga's acting a fair chance even if she had proven herself somewhat in AHS. Critics can definitely be harsher on singers who try acting, after all. Then there were all the blind items about how it was a mess, and even though I know blind items are usually 97% BS that was worrying.... Once they pushed it back to awards season, tho, I figured it was a winner. Never thought it would be such a gigantic critical and commercial success, though. I really don't like movies all that much (with exception to animated ones because I love the artistry of some of them), and don't care about actors and actresses. Didn't even know who bradley cooper was. Not good or bad honestly, I was just happy she was doing something and the excitement that comes from it. Now looking back at it, it seems like Gaga had a major plan since C2C to change her public perception and image. C2C then Joanne and then ASIB was a rollercoaster of eras that were aesthetically the complete opposite of Gaga from 2008 to 2013. I think this helped her a lot and the GP take her more seriously now plus she is like beloved by them again after they all turned on her after ARTPOP. trolly troll troll Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

My mom however was wowed and said it was going to be HUGE and kept saying it was perfect for her.
