Christa Pike’s execution failed after 2 lethal injections

Christa Pike was sentenced to death for the 1995 murder of her classmate Colleen Slemmer, committed when Pike was 18. On September 30, 2026, a federal appeals court temporarily halted her scheduled execution in Tennessee to review whether her history of sexual abuse had been properly considered during sentencing.

I don’t agree with the death penalty, but she should spend the rest of her life in prison without privileges, what she did was disgusting, and it makes me sick.

I don't agree either, it's barbaric and never stopped people from doing crimes.. I just think that it should be an equal punishment to both of them.

I think Christa was the motivated mastermind behind this premeditated murder and Tadaryl assisted to carry out her wish.

Colleen would be alive if it wasn’t for Christa.  Tadaryl would never have killed Colleen on his own if Christa didn’t exist
