Pondering happiness and this slut life that we live. A very personal track that Madonna lays out for the world to see. She wants happiness but how will she get there? That J - One of the more interesting of Madonna's videos has to be Bad Girl but the song itself only gets better with time. Blaming herself for her own bad girl ways over a lush, immediate and timeless instrumental is a highlight of the album. Bad Girl is the centerpiece of Erotica, mixing the bad with the good in a perfect blend of melancholy. A truly genius track fitting to be the title track of a genius album. GagaInTheZone - Only Madonna could serve an ode to S&M sex as the lead single of her album. Love the rawness, "hard" instrumentals and Madonna's "cold" vocals on the song. That J - My name is Dita, I'll be your mistress tonight...the opening line infused with a dark deep underground New York City seedy club sound is our introduction to the new Madonna of EROTICA. Gone are the instant hooks that have defined her career. These are now replaced with her most mature set at this point of her blockbuster career. Finishing the 1990 Blond Ambition Tour with vocal issues, perhaps Madonna utilized a softer spoken word sing song style on this record to rest her voice. It worked. Never before and never since has she truly adapted the DITA voice. Erotica was a smash aided with its video that was mired in controversy. A love song about control and fantasy, EROTICA was unlike anything on radio or on a popular album at that time. Music is great though and if she would actually sing this song would accomplish it’s goal of being a great s3x song. swakby - Very ambient and driving at the same time. I find it too similar to Justify my Love - maybe the tone is a little more aggressive. Hexxx - Dark sex dungeon anthem lol Davian - It’s a song you have to be in the mood for BUT if you are, it’s amazing.
