Education Department formally rescinds Title IX protections for LGBTQ students (via Lexi Lonas Cochran, The Hill)

The Education Department announced Monday it has formally rescinded the Biden-era Title IX interpretation that gave sex-based discrimination protections to students on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.  

Schools now must go back to the Title IX code as held under the previous Trump administration in 2020, which the department says will protect women’s sports. 

“Thanks to today’s action, the published Title IX regulations faithfully reflect court orders and Congressional intent — reducing confusion for parents, students, and educational institutions. We will continue to relentlessly champion equal opportunity for all Americans and hold accountable any school or college that violates the rights, privacy, or athletic opportunities of our women and girls,” Education Secretary Linda McMahon said.

In immediate retrospect, Polansky is in such a practical position for advocacy in terms of policy reform through an appeal here … his mentor, Ken Howery, is literally serving his second term as an ambassador in the Trump administration (by direct nomination from said POTUS, no less); he spearheaded development for the Born This Way Foundation‘s Braver app that‘s directly focused on youth-centered mental health (anchored in the DBT protocol); and, he‘s a father … Gaga notwithstanding, he seems to be in a paramount position for advocacy with this specific policy amendment 

… but, again, I’m just riffing on optics and elements at play … I’m no one‘s counsel or compass … and, realistically, it really may be none of his concern or priority

Well … to be fair, the administration‘s top campaign donor was Peter “JD Vance‘s Spiritual Counselor / Silicon Valley Anti-Christ Advisor” Thiel … so maybe the administration just practices selective bigotry … y‘know the Golden Rule standard: “He who has the gold, makes the rules”

And the Whitehouse Asministration Seputy Chief of Staff is a straightforward Nazi who happens to have direct Jewish heritage.
