Both parties (Gaga and Katy) benefit so much from calling each-other friends. Think about all the news and tabloid articles they squashed by tweeting each-other about the leaked messages. Joshie S 6,224 Posted December 1, 2018 Share Posted December 1, 2018 I feel like they only have a good relationship because Gaga most likely buried the hatchet to try and talk to Katy, to get her to come forward and confess (to police). Gaga even sent a text "do you want me to talk to her", which indicated Gaga would try and use her fairly good persuasion skills to get Katy to help Kesha's case, whether it be providing facts and stats (from the BTWF), telling Gaga's own story to Katy etc. - all in an attempt to get Kesha out of her Sony contract. I mean, it's great they now have a good relationship, and they've probably had deep and meaningful conversations to get to know each other better. We all know how Gaga is. If she doesn't like someone and doesn't want them in her life, they won't be. It seems their relationship was purely formed to assist with Kesha's case. Gaga also probably thought it was best to be on good terms for public perception of the two pop stars.
