Did Marc Jacobs Try & Sabotage Rihanna's New York Fashion Week Show?

Traditionally, Marc Jacobs has held down the grand finale of fashion week spot with his show starting at 6pm on the dot. However, this year Rihanna decided to schedule her Savage x Fenty lingerie show for 7:30pm — making HER the closing presenter.

A slight delay would be odd, but understandable. The fact that Marc started over an hour behind schedule forcing people to choose between his closing show and Rihanna’s seems super shady…and people noticed.

It doesn't make sense for him to purposely start later just to ruin Rihanna's show. Like literally 0 sense.

It does make sense when you take into account his pride.

He's closed NYFW for YEARS, and she's a newcomer, and a celebrity. He's viewed as one of the last true torch-wielders of fashion in New York, and he's being upstaged by a pop star's lingerie line. Not to mention, rumors have been swirling for years about the state of his business, and perhaps the imminent folding of the brand. 

It was a bitchy, queeny move, but highly likely tbh.

The logic is flawed and was deliberately made to claim an unjust and false accusation to Marc Jacobs. This looks like a conspiracy theory from a cheap tabloid.
