I don’t think Gaga would ever do something just to satisfy the “GP”... Joanne was an important moment for her and she approached it how she saw fit. That’s what makes her an artist. Guest
At this point I think she can go whichever way. People love crazy gaga they were just burnt outve it by 2013 lol
JazzGa 14,621
Your narrative of her "craziness" and the GP's perception of her is... dubious... First of all, she didn't suddenly stop being "crazy" after 2013, some of her wildest looks were served after that. Second, the "Gee Pee" (why do we discoos them so much here) didn't give her backlash the entire span of 2008-2013 and then it stopped. O_o She was hugely praised when she first hit the scene, remember her being the most famous person in the entire world? Of course there were always some haters. There still are plenty. There is just more evidence that they are wrong now My old cat is a tough man, but i cant deny the way he bites my hand and he stabs me, he grabs me by my heart <
geopang 4,831
Why does it matter if the GP reject her? It’s her loyal fans and her artistic integrity that matter the most in my opinion.
Ronk 14,762
They rejected crazyGa from the start. I know. I was one of them. I rejected her until late in 2010 when I discovered she is a nice, kind person who helps others. I didn't like her outlandish costumes and persona because I didn't understand it. Then I found interviews on Ellen and Oprah where she explained the reasoning behind her costumes and performance art. It took a long time to convince my friends that behind the crazyGa image is a good person. I fear that she would lose support of many. But those who have learned what she is like as a person will stay with her. I think she is on the cusp of gaining the support of an audience several times the size of her crazyGa fanbase. While it's hard to think of millions of fans as a niche, monsters really are a niche audience. Many will say "Who cares?", but I want her to find she is loved as close to universally as possible. She cried when she received a standing ovation for her Sound Of Music tribute. https://vimeo.com/289195338/a13f9c17f1 She cried again now when she received a standing ovation in Toronto. 36:00 into this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=2177&v=ISYvmvM7wy8 She's human, and being loved means a lot to her. I live outside the space time continuum.

Great analysis, I could name so many times that same initial perspective has rang true among anyone I know/have met. I think she’ll be doing something along the lines of the set of Instagram photos with the octopuss. Old school glamour with a wrinkle of quirky weirdness. I didn’t think about the fact that the pre joanne era doesn’t include 2015 cause she was making the original LG5 back then, so i was comparing the joanne era looks with the 2015 ones Her pre-BTW garb very much inspired BTW, same for the pre ARTPOP wilder looks and high princess carefree aesthetic. If you look for pre-Joanne looks you can kind of see it. It’s a little hard, though, because she was very sequestered before the album dropped because she wrote it all so quickly. Battle 4 Ur Life 6,716
oh I hope they do, and also the GP can choke. who cares tbh. but I’m sure the new music is mind-blowing so no. it’s super in to like Gaga again. “Fantastic, chic, freak, slay.”
StJerome 164
I reject this idea. “CrazyGa” and “Lady vs Gaga” are classifications I think she would really find problematic that her fanbase perceives of her. All these eras have come from the same woman. ”GP reaction” is something she just doesn’t conform to. How many times has she said it? Bad Romance was a record breaking achievement in terms of sales and engagement and it was shocking, disturbing, and ridiculous. And she’s also had the same success with ‘safer’ work, which we’re seeing now with ASIB. She will always be her. And she’s creating work for US, and her family, and herself. That might be like Million Reasons, or C2C, or it might be like Poker Face. You just don’t know where the ball is going to end up on the roulette next time. You’re watching the most legendary artist of your generation find her inspiration and create her catalog in real time.

RAMROD 109,637
Hmm, maybe not. They will be just like "Oh, Yetta! She gone Gaga again! " (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ✧*:・゚ dancin' until i'm dead (*´艸`*) ♡♡♡
SpeechIess 1,060
I mean, the GP seems to be excited for ASIB and lavishing in her latest ventures. I think it'll just come down to if she produces top quality pop bops that everyone loves. ASIB OST seems to be going down a treat too, we'll actually see when it's released. But I think she's won the majority of the GP over again, they've probably come to the conclusion the industry is sort of lacking what Gaga gave a decade ago, along with a few other artists. But time will tell.
