Great song.

But it flopped.

Good debut after a long break but no promo killed it.

The decent debut just shows public interest in lady gaga's lead singles even if they're underwhelming. If it was decent, it would've debuted at Top 5 like Applause.

Perfect Illusion isn't bad, but it's the type of songs that are simply not radio-friendly. It was a bad choice.

It was a flop. All the other songs you listed maybe did debut lower, but they peaked much higher. PI tumbled down the charts and never rebounded.

Had it climbed and climbed and climbed and peaked at #15, then it wouldn't be a flop, but it just debuted and fell off pretty quickly.

It was a flop.

eh it really wasn't that mainstream tbh

but The Cure was supposed to sound main stream yet it only peaked at 39 :derpga:

so IDK I guess Gaga really is over in the GP's minds :nails:

still excited for new music tho! :vegas:

Cause once you let it go you better know it's gone

maybe some people have different tastes?

its ok to like it, but to say its her best lead single is just plain ridiculous. Out of Just Dance, Bad Romance, BTW and Applause, its not even serious. We are talking about Lady Gaga here. PI is so small besides those songs, in every way.

only the fans bought it :laughga: in fact the second week it tanked everywhere disappearing from most of the charts

Well, considering it wasn't radio friendly at all and the promo around it was almost inexistent I wouldn't call it a flop. Obviously underwhelming compared to the other lead singles but overall I think we can all agree to call it a minor hit with 1-1.5 m units sold ww, Top 20 peaks all over the world and vevo certification. :trollga:

It floped :messga: It floped so hard

Nobody knows Perfect Illusion today, only the fans

It's a good pop-rock psychedelic song, tho :rockstar:

Yes. It was one of 2016s biggest flops.

I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.

The Cure stuck around cause of public interest. No promo or video

Commercially it didn't do well, but as it song I absolutely love it, the synths after the last chorus alone get me :rockstar:

Yes but it's a cult classic (in the fanbase) :vegas:

What makes me feel better is comparing it to Make Me and Rise which were released a bit earlier and flopped just the same.
