If Gaga were to quit today, what do you think her legacy would be to the general populace?

I’m just curious what you all think now that she has been popular for over a decade. :vegas:

Not even close to what she has to give. I think she's had it pretty rough and that made her back out a bit. I'm sure Bad Romance is not even among her best work (meaning not only songs but films, theater, etc. which I hope she gets into soon).

I'm really, really hoping she does Broadway at some point. Is theater something she's expressed interest in before at all?

I’d love to see her do a broadway show. :firega:

Well she's the reason I first listened to "Guys and Dolls" and became an instant musical theater fan. She did that one and "A funny thing happened on the way to the forum" (if I remember correctly) when she was younger.

Check her long interviews, they're really interesting!

she did theatre growing up and was in the DRAMA dept at Tisch.  It's also where her love of classic jazz show tunes comes from.  So, theatre is definitely something she  has been interested in previously.

She would be remembered for her crazy outfits and hits, but wouldnt be mentioned among Bowie and Prince.

She needs to do the Broadway revival of Funny Girl before she gets too old :tony:

Most of the legends we know today have been in the business for decades, whereas Gaga has for only one decade, yet she's left a remarkable footprint already, and has cemented herself as one of the most talented and versatile artists of our generation, capable of pulling off anything and yet not fail.

I think she definitely has the talent and determination to further continue cement herself as a legend (she is a legend in the making after all), she has what it takes to be one, unlike some other 'artists' out there, especially newer ones, who rely on internet trends to be successful, Gaga offers to her audience authentic talent without compromise. From theatricality to vocals to choreography to acting to social impact, she's very careful and meticulous in everything she does, and her hard work pays off.

So if she were to quit today, I'd say she would be considered an artist with one of the greatest potentials to offer that very few contemporaries today could rival.

I’m just going to leave this here. :firega:

Gaga has made a name for herself as is at legend status to do so but since she’s one of the most artistic versatile ones in the industry, I’m sure she can be a strong force writing music or not.
