People can interpret her and critique her in any way, but they can not deny that she is one of the best artists of this generation and in history. She has completely changed everything and she has dabbled in every genre. While most artists stick to one formula, while Gaga has the guts to push barriers and create new, different art.

I also love the fact that these "music critics" believe they have the knowledge and background to criticize artists. None of them would ever be able to do anything that Gaga does.

Gaga and her standing ovation remain unbothered.

I personally don't like her rendition and vocals on the song but music is subjective. Everyone has their own opinion so 1 critic saying this does not matter. As long as you personally enjoyed it that's all that matters!

Her vocals are really  strong, but her rendition doesn't  really move me the way it is delivered.   That's the only way to explain it.   I can see why many love her rendition, though.  Elton always moves me  when he performs and it's effortless, not heavy-handed but not disconnected from the words..   She starts out good but gets a little dramatic in places  and I  lose the emotional core of the song.  But I would listen to her rendition again and enjoy it, because I always enjoy Gaga.  But I prefer Elton.   It's a beautiful ,melancholic song.  I can't imagine saying it wasn't good enough, though.  Live watching it there I imagine everyone enjoyed it.  No one moved me, though, of the performances I've heard so far.  Gaga was one of the better ones. The songs I love of Elton no one can touch as a cover.  It loses something  without his voice  I hated Ed Sheeran's cover of Candle in the Wind, vanilla, no emotional heft in the deivery.

I take it back.  Above I talked about the recording is what I listened to, and the few other performers I've listened to.    I just watched her live performance.  As a live performance watching her, it was fantastic.  Thrilling actually.
